I won't cout Ivey out. He's my 2nd choice to Smith. I can see some Ja in him. I'm not sure why Keegan got drafted ahead of him.
Is there a reason why Orlando was secretive with Paolo's pick when knowing they have the 1st pick? Just curious. Happy with Bari/Tari/TyTy!!
Yea. A+. I don't know if Smith has the same ceiling as PB but I know that the perimeter defense and shot efficiency will probably always be stronger than Paolo. Really excited for that sort of speedy length on the perimeter. At #17, I wanted Eason and we got Eason. Around pick #19 I made a OP suggesting we trade up for Washington. We were able to gain more assets and still get the guy. I think Washington is going to be a great player as well. NM A++
Did anyone here already mention how good this draft was? If not, let me be the first. This draft was awesome!!
So what y'all are telling me is - If Greens shot isn't falling and KPJ's shot isn't falling and Sengun's shot isn't falling. . . . We still have Jabari's shot to rely on??
Can anyone explain to me why Stone didnt answer the question about TyTy falling to 29? I dont understand why he suddenly stopped his answer At 4:30 here
The trade for TyTy was not completed at the time. I think he would’ve been fined if he had answered that.
It depends on how you value Smith. If you think he’s the best player in the draft then you win the draft if you walk away with him.
Great draft no doubt. But I feel we’re giving too much credit to Stone. Smith and Eason basically just fell to our laps. They were pretty much consensus BPA at those spots. Most if not all clutch fans would have made the same pick. This is mostly luck I feel. The 26 to 29 for TyTy and two 2nds was a brilliant move though. Have to give him that.
Two observations: 1. The Rockets were the opposite of the Texans in this year's draft. Instead of teams jumping us and snatching our targeted player (Texans), we miraculously had three top talents fall into our laps at our draft slots. As a Texans fan, I can't even comprehend how this can happen. Good for us. 2. We have stocked the cupboard with SEVEN first round picks over the last two years, and eight if you count Kevin Porter, Jr. That's a massive infusion of talent. Realistically, not all will be good players, but if half are good players and one becomes an All-Star level player, then we have succeeded thus far in the rebuild. We will have lots of draft picks in the coming years, and lots of cap space to further add talent. Setting up nicely.
