Yet those right-wing Trumpists say Biden is the one who has dementia. Person Woman Man Camera TV He bragged about remembering 5 words, and now he can't even remember the name of the guy he's endorsing at the rally. You know why a phone number has five digits? It's easy to remember 7 numbers.
None of this is controversial....like at all. Being CEO of one of the complex jobs in existence is ****ing hard. My job, which is extremely complicated, requires me to make appearances and say **** about things I don't know anything about. Cards like this are fairly common and useful, and also help with time management.
Brospeh. There is thing about accepted etiquette and decorum. This is literally how life works when every single thing you do in your job is unfairly scrutinized. Again, not controversial, no matter how much you want it to be.
Biden is 79 years old. The current American life expectancy is between 79-80. Three out of my four of my grandparents were dead before the age of 79. It’s too old to be president for anyone. I think the maximum age to run for president should be 65. I also think the minimum age should be bumped up to 40. People in their thirties nowadays are still too childish. I blame Super Nintendo, SNICK, and pogs.
I agree. Also, 35 isn't a lot of time to build experience in Washington considering you need to be in your mid to late twenties at LEAST to be in Congress. I assume that's true for governorships as well. Definitely the max age to run should be aligned with the retirement age. For another reason, it promotes outsiders. People have to choose early on, do I want to be a big name in Congressional politics or do I eventually want to run for President? Do I want to be a big time real estate mongol who owns casinos or be President? You'd weed out a lot of the randos that show up in the Primary too. It's an exhausting job that requires you to be firing on all cylinders and up to date with the world around you. Most leading politicians grew up during the Cold War and were entrenched in politics long before the internet or cell phones or drone strikes. Even if they're following the news everyday to stay up to date...HOW they think is probably rooted in experiences that aren't applicable to today's world. That's not to say older people don't have value...that's why a good Presidential cabinet has advisers and a well-ran government has career civil servants in places like State or Energy or DOD.
Trump and Biden both need to step down at their age. We need better candidates. Trump might be younger but the dude is like 20 years older than Biden when it comes to being able to do anything requiring gross or fine motor skills.
Yes Biden is old, doesn't have the energy of a much younger man, says a lot of stupid things (he was doing this before he hit his 70's), but his record as president hasn't been the unmitigated disaster that many like to present it as. He has a few pieces of major bipartisan legislation passed, he's managed to walk the very fine line on Ukraine of supporting the Ukrainians while not getting involved in a direct conflict with Russia and he's rallied NATO and US allies. Obama is a very charismatic and energetic man but I doubt he or any other younger Democrat get's as much done bipartisanly as Biden has. I doubt they are able to move the needle any further on things like BBB or more climate change regulation.
