    1st round picks and stars
    Yao Ming 23
    Tracy McGrady 25
    Bostjan Nachbar 23
    Reece Gaines 23

    Other Prospects;
    Malick Badiane 20
    Vassilis Spanoulis 22

    Only two of those players are sure fire stars, Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady. Boki and Reece are both middle 1st round draft picks that will likely stick around for a while. Malick and Vassilis are both still probably a couble of years away if ever from challenging for a spot on the team. The point is that the Rockets have a very young nucleus of talent to go with a fairly large group of veteran players. Even McGrady who is a seven year vet is only 25...only now starting to enter his prime! We could have 3, 4 or even all 5 of what will be are starting unit 4 years from now listed right her on this page and the oldest one would still be only 29 years old. Not only have we made ourselves instant contenders but we have also given ourselves a very real chance at having a great team for a very long time.

    Imagine if Eddie were to make a successful comeback with the Rockets. About half of the rotation would be set with Yao the oldest at 25. :eek:

    T-Mac is the oldest, not Yao.

    add carlos arroyo, who i think is 24?

    we would have one of the most talented teams in the league with half the team under 25.

    Carlos Arroyo would be a good fit, but I wouldn't feel too comfortable in the playoffs putting 4 players on the court under 25 and expecting them to handle the pressure. We need a vet point to calm things down and be a vocal leader. Does anyone know if Mark Jackson is considering returning off the bench? That would help a lot.

    I don't think you can put young guys along side with two super star youngsters. Veteran role players know their roles; they won't try to be all-stars after one good game.

    Jackson was an ideal fit last season because, he knows that he is a piece of the puzzle no matter how good or bad his previous game was.

    That's why I want Snow on this team.

    I wholeheartedly agree and believe that Derek Fisher, a veteran of multiple championships, would fit this role to a tee.
