The Magic sure would have been ready to make a playoff run had they drafted Okafor instead of Howard #1. The way it goes now, Howard might take some considerable time to develop, and how long are Francis and Mobes willing to wait?

It doesn't seem like Weisbrod was thinking about this potential trade (it hadn't been made official yet) when he decided on Dwight over Emeka. Now they have to play the waiting game with Howard.

Still, their line-up is better across the board than it was with T-Mac but they still lose a top 5 player in the world.
