If the Thunder don't take Ivey at 2 then it's game on for the Rockets. If Ivey still on the board when Rockets pick, the Rockets have to dance with Sacramento and try to trade for the 4th pick to go along with the 3rd pick. Rox need to offer up any combination of assets on the current roster plus our other picks plus one future pick to see if they can get #4 to go with #3. Then draft Ivey and the remaining big (Paolo). If Ivey is sitting there at #4, the Thunder are going to offer up SGA for Ivey and they will win the draft with Ivey plus whichever big they took at 2. If they take Ivey at 2, they'll still win the draft by trading SGA for the #4 pick and taking the remaining big at #4. The Tunder are going to attempt a huge move here to capture both the 2nd and 4th picks while removing SGA's salary and reclaiming $30 million of cap space to facilitate other deals. Stone can't let that happen. He's got to capture Ivey if Ivey is there at 3.
If you want predictions, you've come to the right place. My psychic says we will be drafting Paolo Banchero with the 3rd pick. It's like @Clutch made this thread just for me. Go Rockets!
Banchero at 3. Trade 17 + 26 + Bucks '23 pick to Spurs for #9. Johnny Davis(preferred) or Shaedon Sharpe at 9.
Are you guys seeing these crazy Vegas betting lines? Paolo has overtaken the odds as the likely #1 pick. I don't put much stock in that yet, but if it's based on any info instead of crazy betting games, it would have to be some sort of trade. I still doubt it.
I think Orlando drafts Paolo for Houston because maybe they got info that OKC was picking Paolo Chet is OKCs 2nd target Then Houston trades #3 & #17, KJ Martin etc to Orlando and drafts Smith Some scenario like that
Probably just due to the lines moving due to existing wagers. I doubt its based on any inside info. Anyway, Banchero is a nice consolation prize, but still hoping we land Chet. Also hoping we can trade up to nab Williams or Duren.
did we freaking trade up to #1 for Paolo? That would really be upsetting. I don’t mind him at #3, but I don’t want to trade up for him.
The movement on the betting odds are nuts. I don't get it. Fertitta owns casinos. Pure coincidence, I'm sure.
