No way BOS takes back more money however.

Tilly would have to send actual cash back to consider this is even a talking point.

Would this deal make sense? (My math my be off)

Rockets: Plumlee (cut), 13, and keep 17
Pacers: Kevin Love (cut), PJ Washington, 15, 26
Hornets: Tate, Turner, Matthews, Gordon, Boban
    Cavs: Gordon Hayward
    Rockets create a trade exception?
Cavs upgrade and moves Lauri to his natural position.
Hornets get their rim protector, vet guard and wing to replace wings they lost.
Pacers get two additional picks plus a great role player in PJ

Again, it would potentially be having Allen but the Butterfly effect robbing us of Green and maybe even #3 this year. Nice player but that is incorrectly applying hindsight.

    Trade for Allen now though!

I've discussed this ad nauseum in many other threads. Not only was adding JA + Wood feasible but it would not have cost the #2 pick from 2021 draft. Rockets could have easily had a better version of Cavs Triple Towers.

But that argument is moot, forward and onward.

Stone needs to piggyback on this trade and acquire Jalen Johnson + picks.

Sure if you would have sat Allen. I see it as 2 bad outcomes. Firstly, maybe Allen wins us enough games to where we just lose the pick. OR In reference to the butterfly effect just acquiring Allen changes the course of events and we give away #5. Maybe we come away with Allen and Barnes or Allen and Mobley but IDK. I am into Sengun at C for now. Im not as sold on a center having to be a good shooter as I am sold on they need to brimg their own offensive ability. Moreso than Allen anyway. Still, I get he is a stud.

Cavs had JA, much deeper and more talented roster, COY candidate and still ended up with #3 pick.

    Again point is moot.

Now that Atkinson has turned down MJ, does job go to D'Antoni?

I hadn't noticed if this got posted, but one of the dumbest ideas I've seen from bleacher report in awhile...

    Gordon AND a second rounder

    For

#27 and the privilege of paying Duncan Robinson about 75 million over the next 4 seasons.

    1) That's probably less than 10 slots moved up in the draft if it's our second any time soon

    2) Robinson is younger, slightly taller, and a slightly better shooter. Gordon is a better defender and ball handler. We're not going to add all that salary for virtually the same player.

There is no chance Duncan Robinson is worth giving up max cap space for.

I'm sure the Nets owner would feel a lot more flexible if he wasn't paying Russ $50MM:D. They're gonna have to unload all of their remaining picks and swaps to even start the conversation with Brooklyn.

Lakers and Knicks fans are nuts.

I still think if we want to unload Wall its taking back a bad contract (like Randle)

Just how many Paolo type players do we want?

Someone NEEDS to play lockdown defense.

I don't know what will happen on the 23th. I believe Jabari can fall to 3, if Chet is selected at 1. If Jabari goes at number 1 to the Magic, Chet will almost certainly be OKC's choice at 2.

Paolo is almost certainly the Rockets choice at 3, Ivey might have an outside chance of becoming a Rocket with their 3rd pick.

I will be shocked if Stone selects Murray, Mathurin or Sharpe etc at 5.

I think TF will be happier to select a player at 3, rather than at 1 or 2. I don't think he will be unhappy to give up the 17th and the 26th picks for future assets or to move upto the 2nd spot.
