Considering, we're likely moving up from 17 - I'd rather have Keegan Murray (we need length and athleticism), but he'll likely go too high... AJ's probably the BPA behind him, that slips a tad. We need to package 17 & 26 to get this guy. This doesn't take anything away from JC. Griffin has a high floor, starter to All Star...and, ...possible upside from there. In a draft that's a crapshoot, he's a solid play/steal @ 8 or 9. Stockpiling.

It all depends on his physical fitness and defense. I have concerns about him.

Well, he'd slot in as a SF and I think on a team with a lot of passers, a 3 point shooter as good as him would fit in REALLY well.

That said, I'm not sure the Rockets could trade up high enough to pick him.

There’s something about the way he moves and sets up his shot that is off putting to me. But he made them at a high clip.

He looks like he’s dropping down on the toilet before she shoots

AJ Griffin's floor is Tony Snell. A guy that just stands there on the court for 20 minutes and you don't even realise he's playing. No playmaking and slashing on offense, no disruption on defense, just shoots when he's wide open and makes 3s at 40%.

    His ceiling is Harrison Barnes.

I sense lotsa movement on draft night; of picks, players.

I don’t sense draft boards are consistent one from another meaning:
    Surprise! risers
    &
    Surprise! fallers

If the core ends up being KPJ/Green/Banchero/Sengun, Griffin would fit in really well. My one major concern is his health.

Do you have to create a new thread every time a random idea pops up in your head?

I don't see why people are high on him. Don't see anything special.

There’s the prospect tracker thread, the let’s focus on #17 thread, the let’s focus on #26 thread, etc etc.

If anything, the thread title should be Let’s focus on AJ Griffin. At least get that right. LOL

This is your worst post ever Plowman. Not sure what planet you’re on but AJ Griffin SUCKS. Did you not watch the tournament and regular season games this year. He is a do nothing player. You don’t even realize he’s playing. Now trading up for Mark Williams or Tori Eason is another story and would make the team better. BAD POST!!!

You don't see ANYTHING special in a 45% 3 point shooter? Nothing at all? I mean, it's not flashy, but that's one hell of a weapon.

Stop, we aren’t moving up from 17 to lottery range.

What lottery team would prefer a poo poo platter of 17, 26, and garbage players (tate?) over their lottery pick?

So that means, yes, you do see something special.

Hypothetically if you were putting together a team with 4 starters already in

    KPJ
    Green
    Sengun
    Banchero

.....wouldn't a 45% 3 point shooter being added to them be just completely unfair?

    Who do you leave open?

KPJ, Green, and Sengun all command double teams because they can create their own shot, KPJ and Green can do so from anywhere, Sengun can do so from the post.....but there's no one to leave open to come help because nearly everyone on the court is a plus passer that will burn you if anyone is left open.

Now on defense, that could be problematic at least at first, but the potential of the offense is off the charts.

That's not special. You need to do whole lot more on the court. Why there is no clear cut #1 pick this year? Because they all have hole. Chet is the most complete one but his weight is big question mark. Jabari weakness is create for himself. Paolo is defense. Griffin? Because of his injury I don't see him much in the tournament. From highlight I don't see much of him creating for himself or other. Most I see just shooting open 3.
