Aside from freeing up playing time for the younger players and removing a malcontent who wants a big contract next year, I think you are forgetting one key thing here. Dallas had a boatload of expiring contracts and the Rockets want to preserve all the cap space they can for next year. I am not sure that Charlotte, or Philadelphia fits the same criteria.
I don't have sources; I just make sure whatever I post here is relevant and it's not just BS but thanks!
The story concerning getting a FRP for Gordon has resurfaced again. We certainly don't need another late FRP in this draft. So the logical conclusion is we are sending some of those Dallas players and late picks somewhere else. But where? Wild speculation on my part only, but I know we want to move Wall, so perhaps we are accumulating late FRP's in order to send 1 or 2 back to the Lakers in order to get their 2027 FRP unprotected. Houston Sends: Wall, 2022 #26 FRP, Gordon pick, a Dallas player or 2. Houston Gets: WB, Lakers unprotected 2027 FRP. As I see it, we are only giving up what we dont want or need for the 2027 pick. Wall vs WB is a wash. Just one possibility.
nope . But I am a big fan . I think Tate is a natural leader . With wood’s bad influence gone I think Tate will once again flourish
I've wanted him out of here waaaay earlier than most. But the fact that he didn't put any effort here doesn't mean he won't in a winning team. But he is a dumbass for sure and I will always hope he loses. No harm at all: play, be healthy, just suck and lose.
coming from stones mouth is irrelevant if you actually read the purpose of the post is it don knock posting his personal thoughts? Nah
You bring up some good points, but there is reason he couldn't stick with any team before the Rockets. It's not his talent.
Spot on. Now, imagine a certain player that drove away from the arena in the middle of a game. That's why I'm happy for a late 1st for Wood. As I will be MUCH happier once we trade KPJ for a pack of jelly beans.
Do you think KPJ will be traded for this reason also? Or does he get another opportunity to prove his maturity?
Why would any agent not want their client playing next to Kevin Porter Jr? A mercurial, pseudo point guard who's effort level and attitude can change at a moment's notice. Sounds like a great environment for a player's game to thrive. KPJ showed some promise at the end of last season. But this year will be the make it or break it year to see if he can be an integral part of the future. I'm hopeful, but not counting on it.
