    Of course not.

    You're a Paolo only fan.

But I hope and pray you are right. I want to be wrong.

    LOL

And only the Rockets feel this way. Stone telegraphing his ass again.

I hate being right about this.

Banchero retweeting it isn't confirmation. Players have outright lied about their height before. We'll find out when Banchero is on a roster because the NBA has standardized height measurements.

You guys are overthinking it. Stone, or any other GM in this situation, is extremely unlikely to do that, and the reason is simple. Just think about the risk/award for your career as a GM:

    1) If you stay at #3 and had to take Chet because Paolo has been taken, and Paolo moves on to be a MVP while Chet turns out a bust, it's nothing too out of ordinary. You might be blamed for not taking Ivey or whoever, but almost everyone has been wrong on this, just hindsight is 20/20.

    2) If you trade up (using extra assets) to take Paolo at #1 when the consensus had him at #3 anyway, and he turns out just an average player, or even a fringe all-star but not as good as the other two, you GM reputation would be forever tainted. Even if Paolo turns out indeed slightly better than the other two, doubter would still point out the "unnecessary" price you had to pay.

Really? The only GM that would do that?

    You're talking common sense.

Stone does not always speak this language.

The only GM in this draft.

    Better?

But being grouped in with 6ers old FO is not a compliment.

Getting #3 was 100% the best feeling for stone, with the #1 pick he would be criticized for picking Paolo over Chet/Jabari if both of them went on to be all stars and Paolo because a bust... With the #3rd pick he can get the guy he wanted number one and if Paolo bust he can say "we pick who was considered 3rd best, it was out of my hands"

As long as he doesn't shat his pants, he is in win-win situation.

Take one of the top 3 bigs that falls to #3.

    Simple.

Embiid was picked by Hinkie, Morey disciple.

    Bryan Colangelo picked Fultz.

Not sure why Paolo would need to fib about his height, but sure when you get the NBA standard height and it confirms 6'10.5 barefoot does it change your perspective?

Because the CF is getting hyped with Paolo, we are going end up getting Chet because Jabari and Paolo are off the board.

I really wouldn't be surprised if Paolo goes ahead of #3 so I'm trying to stay neutral.
