Wood was never good enough to enjoy the prima donna entitlement he gave himself.

Cmon. You really think Morey was behind those other trades. That was all Tillman and luxury tax savings. He can't make trades if the owner doesn't back it.

I like Boban in this team as the veteran center in the vein of Tyson Chandler that is happy whenever he gets minutes and is a positive locker room influence. Sengun as the primary center, with Garuba or Boban as the backup depending on matchups. Garuba for small-ball minutes, Boban against true 7footers.

I'd also keep #26 if Kennedy Chandler is available. With Banchero #3 and Eason #17, it would be ideal.

A good trade for both teams. It will remain to be seen if Mavs or Rockets profitted from this trade. I'm glad to get rid of Wood but the #26 is underwhelming. I feel that he's worth at least between #15-20 pick.

Well, people no longer can complain about Silas giving minutes to Wood instead of Sengun.

Boban's use is too situational but you know he'll produce if he's needed. He can also be traded for other useful pieces as he can be used by competing teams.

This is all about cap flexibility. I'm sure better picks were offered that required us to take back longer term contracts. I just don't think the Rockets wanted to do that. This is the best of both worlds. Get a first round pick and cut salary for 23 free agency.

Lmao, that’s what he is worth.

I’m sorry that people overvalued him, if you had paid attention to what was reported you would have not been surpised…

The trade purely opens up minutes for Sengun & Potientally Usman.

This is now Jalens team and there will be a clear pecking order. Wood either didn’t want to defer to Jalen or the Rockets believe Sengun will be a better play.

Funny how also Paolo had his workout and had dinner with Stone, and now suddenly wood is finally traded.

But the posters on Clutch Fans are right we will take Ivey over Paolo or any other of the 2 bigs ;)

Agree with pretty much everything except the last line. What if OKC has a moment and says: "The Rox trade Wood away. Paolo must be another generational talent. You know what, we're taking Paolo."

The Thunder would have to be a terrible organization to draft Paolo based on that.

    Misread your post.

I don’t see OKC not picking Chet if he is there, just fits in with them.

If we could win in the NBA with selfish players that do not play a lick of defense and visibly pout when they don't get their way, I guess you would be on to something. Could put up stats, those stats did not translate to wins.

    Most potential, lol.

    1. He's going to be a free agent next summer
    2. He's playing a position where we have one (Banchero), potentially two (Sengun) players that should take his minutes next season
    3. He offers us nothing on the defensive end as a big
    4. What he gives us on offense can easily be replaced by a few players that are on or will be on the roster

    Should I continue?

-turning 27 on a team in full rebuild
-self proclaimed max player who is a pending FA
-horrendous me first attitude who destroys team morale
-soft big man with terrible defense
    -he has no potential
    -negative impact on winning games
-opens up minutes for guys the rockets need to see get minutes
