Well good thing for him is he doesn’t have to move far. And he can play with a harden like guard in Luka
Hey, at least now they can go get my boy Christian Braun with that pick. He should be available right in that range.
Wood is definitely the type of guy who could recite all his boxscore numbers postgame without even needing to look at the stat sheet during the game, he won’t know what he’s supposed to be doing on defense…he won’t know what play is being run…he won’t even know how much time is left on the shot clock…but he’ll know for damn sure he has 20 points, 8 rebounds, and an assist
As someone who doesn't want a late FRP for EG, I'm very meh on this trade. Hoping Stone can pull a trade like OKC to get a future FRP for it, get a trade up Trade seems fair. It just doesn't consolidate talent and depends on other moves to help.
2020 season we would keep track of the number of times he shunned his teammates on a fist bump or any type of contact after a positive play. Thought he had gotten a little better this year in being such an ogre.
Culture and Cap Space improved with this trade. No matter how we value Wood, the market is the market. If we didn't want to take back longer-term money, Stone likely took the best offer that gave him cap flexibility, got rid of a net negative for our rebuild, and added draft capital. Look at what Denver gave OKC for 30th pick. Wood is a great 3pt shooter, decent DRBer, and ok driver. But between his terrible defense, attitude and lack of playmaking/basic passing skills he wasn't a good fit for our rebuild. Let's see what's next and hey Boban has some entertainment value and can definitely give us 10-12 minutes at the 5.
during the huddle, when the coaching staff is talking, all Wood would hear is “blah blah blah womp womp ooga booga”…that is until Silas says “let’s run a play for Wood” then all of a sudden all he cared about was his numbers
Just a thought... i know people are tanking for the big guy next year but even the best odds are a longshot. With the Kings not crazy about a guard at 4, could we deal our 17/26 for 4 with a pick swap in 2023? That increases their odds of landing #1 and they would still get a couple picks for depth this year... Maybe top 5 protection that converts to a pick swap so if we lose our top 5 pick we get theirs at least? Not even sure if that works under cba... That could give us Ivey/Green/Gordon/Banchero/Sengun with 6 man KPJ... might speed up rebuild...
