It seems the Rockets(Morey) vs Cuban war has officially ended

Stone seems like a chill stoner vs morey’s arrogant MIT degree ass

Christian Wood came to Houston to play with James Harden.

2 years later, he gets traded to play with the player that models his game primarily with James Harden.

A little disappointing return because we were all hoping that Wood could get us in the lottery but this deal needed to be done to clear up space and minutes for Al-P, KJ Martin, Garuba, and the presumed big man we are taking top-3.

Of course we have to wait to see what Stone does with the 4 Mavs scrubs and the mediocre pick before we can really pass judgement on this trade but this is my initial reaction:

I wouldn't go that far, but clearly the league doesn't really value Wood on a 1 year contract.

Christian Wood sucks on teams that suck. As the finisher of plays rather than the initiator and surrounded by defenders, he’s going to be a borderline all-star. Luka will make sure of that.

And the Rockets got a low-value pick in exchange; a pick they shouted to reporters they didn’t want at the trade deadline.

    Bunch of incompetent clowns.

We'll use it to move 1 or 2 spots in the draft and select someone(that none of us want)who would have been there in the 20s. Classic

I told y’all when Tillman was giving all those wood jerseys at the games.

so disrespectful to send him to Dallas too, they don’t even think wood can hurt them in the future.

**** Wood. Could we have gotten a better pick? Maybe, maybe no. (CF Throwback line)

He wasn’t part of our plan going forward. I wouldn’t have paid him.

he's a one year rental following a year of pouting and lack of effort. its amazing they even got a FRP for him. There was an article in the Athletic (I think) that assumed he wasn't worth a first.

That opens up minutes for Banchero and sengun.

it gives us the possibility to packaging both picks to move up into the lotto.

    great move.

the only thing stopping wood was he had no hierarchy and no one to keep his dumb ass ego in check.

Kidd going to make wood cry then build him back up. Wood doesn't think he is better than luka. I bet you Wood becomes a better defender too.

its a good score for dallas, IMO

Thank goodness rockets aren't contending or I might be a little irritated.

    more touches for the children.

i don’t think we were gonna do better than #26 for Wood. Sadly when you refuse to check back into a game at halftime because u are mad at John Lucus, it creates questions about character and attitude and hurts your trade value.

I agree and hope that another move is coming because I don’t think we are using 3 draft picks this year, but even if we did draft someone at #26 (worst case scenario) it would be better for our rebuild than keeping Christian Wood, hurting the development of our other young bigs, and potentially losing him for less or maybe nothing next year.

    Getting rid of Wood? Great.
Getting Boban in return to improve locker room morale? Awesome.

Yeah I'm a little confused. Is this really the best we could get for Wood?

Hes literally been on the worst team in the league every year. Who cares if he puts up 20 and 10. Guy was unwatchable. Not a team player. Always about himself.
