Mihm would make a great backup. Wonder what he'll want in free agency???...similar to last year, we'd still lack a bruising PF/C, though.

Jamal Crawford mentioned as a player who might get offered a max contract.

    That's insane. Absolutely insane.

Looking at the Rox roster post McGrady trade:

1: Tyronn Lue, Mike Wilks, Reece Gaines
    2: Tracy McGrady, Eric Piatkowsi
3: Jimmy Jackson, Boki Nachbar, Adrian Griffin
4: Juwan Howard, Maurice Taylor, Clarence Weatherspoon
    5: Yao Ming

The two roster holes are a better starting 1 and a backup 5. The 5 will be harder to find, so my preference is that they could after Mihm first. Mihm has an inside/outside game like Yao, so the offense won't have to change much when Yoa sits. Mihm is a servicable 5 but not starter quality; the league interest in him should be pretty minimal. Given Boston's depth at the 5 (Mark Blount and Raef LaFrentz), they might be interested in a trade, epecially since they probably do not want to pay that much for their third center.

I will do any deal that gets rid of Mo T for a shorter contract.

    Some options :

    1. Seattle sign and trade with Brent Barry for the TE and Mo T and Pike and AG for Jerome James and Vitaly Potepenko (2 years remaining on contracts).

Seattle gets the TE for Barry who is leaving anyway. They can use that to chase Kurt Thomas. Seattle gets Mo T for their unhappy, underperforming centers. He can run and score with Rashard and Allen and Daniels.

    2. Mo T to Chicago with Pike and Boki and AG for AD (2years remaining). TE for Hinrich. :)
Ok, hinrich is dreaming. But I'd do it with anyone else they need just to get rid of Mo T.

    Rox :

    Yao/backup
    Howard/that trade backup
    JJ/Tmo
    Tmac/Barry
    Barry/Arroyo

Please please kill that cap bogart Maurice, Mr Dawson. I don't care how.

The Rox certainly could offer Mihm the MLE. Another less likely possibility would be to do a SnT for more than the MLE where we send Boston our TE.

Hmmm... can we trade the TE for ...nothing? You know, like, future draft picks? That might sweeten the pot to dump the Taylor man.

We could then trade those future picks away when they hit, and make more money available under the tax for Yao.

Lue averaged 30 mpg for Orlando, so it is in the realm of possibilities. I suspect that Lue has master the skill of passing the ball to TMac and getting out of the way.

I doubt Lue will be wearing the Red and White as I believe he will opt out. We need to get a pg 1st. I'd rather have MoT back up Ming, than start Wilks or possibly if he's included Gaines.

I haven't seen anything offical on the Pike/Olie swap so I'm guessing Pike is still a Rocket. Losing Francis gets us McGrady, but we now have a huge whole at a critical position. We need someone with good court vision because the shooters will be there.

The cap experts indicate that based on league revenues and the CBA formula, there will probably be no luxury tax next year.

Is Matt Maloney still on the payroll? :)

how about a sign and trade with Dallas , stackhouse and marquise daniels for mo taylor and piak or t/e

get fisher signed with for mid level expection

rely on howard as our power forward and spoon as back up

sign a back up center with our veteran minimum

    fisher/daniels
    t-mac/stackhouse
    jj/boki
    howard/spoon
    yao/ ?

I think we can make a serious challenge withthis group
