    Last year was the first time the state didn't grow since at least as early as we started keeping records (1800s, impressive considering the 1918 flu).

    Its annual growth rate dipped below the US average in 2017 and has declined since.

    Is one year during a pandemic of a .0066% (roughly 250k people out of 39.5 mill) decline considered an exodus? I don't know. From 2010 to 2020 they grew over5% with a + 2 million people.
