It’s ridiculous, he gets praised and rightfully so when they are winning but when the warriors lose its always because of some fluke injury
Series is rigged like always. NBA wants AND needs money. This series will 100% go to game 7. I just think the NBA will help the Warriors since their time is coming to an end.
Hope the Warriors midget lineup continues to get pounded. Refs might decide to clean out their whistles back at GS.
Draymond Green has played just over 800 games. I'd bet he's dropped 4.2 million F-bombs in that time. The pearl clutching is lit.
I didn’t even see any Celtics landing on him. One of their bench player should of took advantage of the situation and dive bomb on him like one of the football piles. Just one after another jump on top of the pile. Hate it when Kerr does one of those pouty face lips when his team is down. No wonder Jordan smack the crap out of him. Probably did the same look in practice and Jordan was having none of it.
The NBA isn't that heavy handed but they do a lot of obvious nudges to discourage blowouts or short series. Like when Draymond was on the verge of getting a 2nd T in game 3 -- the telecast ref says they should take into account the game situation when making the call (in contrast JVG argued the T should be called objectively). After the game Draymond said a version of the same thing, i.e. that he's earned the right to differential treatment. This isn't "fair," but fans generally are ok with this because it makes the game more exciting. It's like having homing turtle shells that target the leader in MarioKart.
Like in game 3, after GSW went on an 8-0 run in Q2 to cut the lead in half, Curry was assessed his 3rd foul on a clear Derrick White flop.
Yes, stuff like that. It's light. They need to balance fairness with keeping the game interesting. If they go too far one way or the other then people won't watch. Steve Javie says that you shouldn't call a technical foul on a guy when it will impact the game too much. That means that something aside from fairness is being considered. It doesn't mean that they want a parade in SF. It much more likely means they want the game to not be boring. But that can be in conflict with fairness.
Steph is built like a tank when compared to basketball world standards for his height and position. It's pushing it when people describe him as slight when he hasn't been for over 5 years. Finishing through contact and dishing physicality with his own offensive fouls via nudges because of his better prepared frame. With that said F the Worriers.
Great crowd in Boston, with the Celtics starting strong. Golden State is 4-13 so far, but are staying close.
