Finished all 7 eps. While the story is interesting and makes me want to keep watching, the teens are unbearable. I can deal with the acting but my goodness so much unnecessary cheesy and out of place dialogue.
I just saw that there’s gonna be a S5 I hope this doesn’t end up like the Walking Dead where it was absolute fire and then ran for too long and become mediocre
I think AMC was just milking TWD for every last red cent they could possibly squeeze out of it. The Duffers have had a storyline in place for a while now...so I suspect they will continue to deliver relatively high quality plots throughout the rest of the run. At least I hope so. Just don't wait two years to drop S5.
That is my thing is .. . this is a complete updated 80s MOVIE!! Alot of the "cheesiness" is intentional .its 80s . .. and its great Rocket River
Man, these episodes are too long. I'm not out here trying to watch 90 minute episodes. they need to stop that sh*t. Last episode felt like it had 4 separate endings where I thought the credits were going to roll only to have another scene. I liked it though. Im ready for part 2.
I’ve never been that interested in 11 as a character…when the story was just focused on her, I found myself checking my phone and seeing how much more of the episode was left heard the final episode of part 2 is gonna be 2.5 hours…that’s Infinity War length
Her non-powered story arcs are a bit contrived. I get it, she's one of the bigger 'stars' of the show but I can do with about 50% less of her teen angst screentime.
I actually liked the stuff when she didn't have her powers it was when she was trying to get them back that was so damn boring. Duffer Bro's need to release an intermission in these "episodes". Call it a movie and let's move on. it's ridiculous.
even seeing her time at the facility in the past had me bored and counting down the seconds until we could finally move on to Steve and the rest of the crew, Hopper, or Joyce and Murray her or her unimpressive powers just don’t do it for me…it’s everything else going on that has me hooked
Same. Yawn. She only has two faces..."trying to be mad" and "trying to be sad"... Terrible story. Terrible acting.
6. Unnecessary long episodes Cheesy and out of character dialogue for the situation the characters are in Lack of cohesiveness between the storylines Repetitiveness of the storyline
Hearing some of y’all’s critics makes me glad I’m apparently easy to entertain. Give me all the 80’s teen cheese!
The longer episodes don't bother me at all. The interactions between the different groups of kids is what makes the show fun, so spending more time with them is ok with me. We only get a handful of episodes every couple years. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the 2 new 'kids', but I think they're great additions just like Robin was. I thought it was a nice touch that Argyle's crush looks like Ally Sheedy from The Breakfast Club. I also liked the prison guard (aka the faceless man from Game of Thrones). I'm ready for the final 2 episodes!
Enjoyed Volume 1 a lot except for the Spoiler Gaston (don't remember actual character's name) subplot.
