The biggest problem with Wood is that he is borderline coachable.

He does a lot of stats padding and very little of helping out other players.

Fans felt CP3 was too old, thought Small ball could win a championship or that Dwight Howard was the missing piece. Myself included.

We just don't know. So that is why we should TRUST the people who are in the front office

Personally, I don't think one can be BORDERLINE coachable. You either pregnant or you're not, meaning you are either coachable or you're not! It has to be one or the other. I think it's the coaching he's getting.

Regarding the stats, ask yourself, if he were putting the same stats on a winning team would that be considered STAT PADDING?

He played with 5! FIVE! Rookies last yr not counting 2nd yr players, plus it was his 2nd yr as a full time starter, so they are an extremely young team, which is why I don't think we know his true potential just yet, which would make it careless for him to be traded at this point.

I’d also like to get paid a lot of money while not being held accountable.

i agree except you overgeneralized too much....
really, alperen sengun didnt want to pass to open man, and needlessly dribbling ball up the court?

Although passing is one of Alpren's gifts, he was known to bring the ball up court a few times, in which it resulted in a turnover, which further leads me to believe it's something that is being coached to the bigs on the team.

So is it coaching OR is it Wood?

lol you absolutely want alpi sometimes bringing the ball up because hes good at it...it will produce better results many times because hes capable of doing it and, unlike wood is able and knows how to take advantage of the defense that is vulnerable during the fastbreak....

he may have turned it over few times but whoever brings the ball up in a hurry is a due for a few turnovers while doing it...

if you read my post you'll notice i said needlessly because wood bringing the ball up is all wrong because it is not needed because basically it never ever results in anything meaningful...unlike alpi hes just doing it for the sake of doing it...and slowing us down needlessly....

oth there are times when alpi should absolutely push it and do his thing...and hes never did it the way wood does it eventho personally i think he should, to assert his dominance and prove he can be a great playmaker, surely better than kpj or whoever is a fake playmaker on this team...

yes and sometimes it resulted in a quick basket... this is what sometimes happens to any and even elite playmaker like lebron, harden even to cp3

The remaining 4 teams best lineups are small ball lineups, relatively speaking

Rockets only won 20 games last season.

In the 14 games Wood missed, team was 1-13.

Wood lineups were the best offensively AND surprisingly the best defensively.

Wood helped team win 19 of those 20 wins.

Without Wood in the lineup, team won just ONCE.

    what a lame comparison.
One is a gifted rookie and the other is a pouting player who thinks he's a max player

Bottom team that heavily relies on good shooting performances to win, loses games when their main scorer is out! What did you expect? That suddenly they would become the Warriors and play read and react or they would defend much better? That tells more about how bad Silas is than how good Wood is.

The point stands correct though. Without Wood, the team did worse. That does not mean keeping Wood is the way to go. The teams with Kyrie, were definitely worse when he was not playing. His numbers are great. But they got rid of Kyrie because they can't get anywhere with him. He is problematic.
It only worked once, under Lebron, which is a very special case. And Wood is no Kyrie. It is the same type of situation with Wood.
