Damn I just want this all to be over ... I can't stand it any more ... Thank God we should know for sure by the end of tomorrow .. There's no way Orlando lets this go past draft day

You would think that! But I didnt think it would lag this long. I wouldnt put anything past Orlando. If they are dragging it out now way longer than it should be, who is to say they wont drag it out a little longer!

I agree, there is no point for Orlando to rush this thing. Yes, T-Mac will eventually get traded and I'm pretty sure they want it done ASAP. But EVERY TEAM knows that the longer you hold out, the better the deals will become.

Its not a coincidence that the trade hit a snag right before it was suppose to go down, sure Francis had something to do with it, but there was a good chance that the Magic were going to rethink things before it went down anyways.

Teams heard to about the seriousness of the Hou-Orl deal, so the Suns and possibly Indy, put out either better offers or new offers. And they probably look enticing, the Magic wouldn't be smart to not even look at the new offers.

Just like on Ebay, most people tend to wait until the last 30 seconds to make a bid, its a way of not raising the price for of all and its a way to most likely win the bid.

You'd think they (Houston, Orlando, or both) would have consulted with Francis before including him in the trade. Especially if it bothers the Magic that Steve doesn't want to be part of rebuilding that franchise.

we need to back up that statement with enough cap room next summer. Right now, we don't have it.

We can use the TE money and trade to get expiring contracts. But that most likely will hurt us next year.

"I want to go to the Lakers or Spurs." Wait no "I want to go to Houston."

Perhaps McGrady is holding up the deal for more money?

The longer he and his agent hold up the deal, the more money he is likely to get from the Rockets.

Maybe his renegotiating price is to high for Les?

    Maybe thats the holdup.

I doubt it, T-Mac already knows what kind of money he is going to get regardless of where he ends up.

I honestly believe that hold up is either:

    1. Waiting of the draft and trying to deal Francis to a 3rd team.

    or

    2. PHO got an offer from another team and they got scared. Teams heard about the Hou-Orl deal and put out better offers, maybe this is what Orlando was thinking the entire time. They are just weighing ALL their options.

Oh, it'll be over soon. Our visit to the playoffs will be over when we finalize trading our best rebounder, strongest interior defender, and our two best guards for a chronic back injury and Andrew DeCluck. ;)

With two days left until July 1, I think it's time to bring back this thread. For the past week, John Weisbrod has been having quite a good time jerking around Tracy McGrady, Steve Francis, and much of the NBA. It's time for T-mac to put an end to this abusive performance. Call the press conference, Tracy, and the game is over.

Forgive me, but who is Troy Baros. Everyone keeps referring to this guy, but I do not know who he is.

The funny thing is that the only glimmer of a chance that Mrs. Weisbrod has is to frustrate Houston to the point of pulling out of the deal. Then Tracy would have to pick another suitor.

The chance of that happening is zilch!!

In the end we will all look back on this and laugh at this guy.

    LOL

How will T-Mac be able to sign his next contract with the Rockets when it's pretty that we have no better than a MLE offer to him? Please don't tell me that you expect T-Mac sign with us regardless of the money. That would be stupid.

Question: How can this deal be announced Wednesday
BUT Steve BYC status is not up until Thursday?

I thought that was the hold up all along

That's why Catos involved to match up salaries... if we wait till the 15th, Francis makes max money so Cato's contract is no longer needed.
