The Who performed at 2am August 29, 1970 on the Saturday night (naturally) of the 5 day IsIe of Wight Festival, and how I wish I'd been there! I did see them at Hofheinz Pavilion at UH about a month earlier on another Saturday night (and I wasn't lost in a sea of hundreds of thousands). Simply tremendous live! Watch what Townsend does with his guitar in Shakin' All Over about halfway through the set. Then they segue into Twist and Shout. Crazy! I wish the cameramen/women had all taken 714's prior to working it, though. Overly excited! (not the entire set, unfortunately - ends after an hour) I saw Jimi earlier that summer on June 6th at the Coliseum. Tremendous! This is from the Isle of Wight Festival on August 31st after midnight, 2 nights after the Who. Kind of a disjointed video, but excellent quality when they aren't jumping around.
