We will have more talent after this draft. Fit with other players etc can wait. We need as much talent as possibly then can figure out the rest.

Right after the lottery KPJ went on Green's IG and said we going to be a scary backcourt.. etc etc I have not seen Green/KPJ run on Paolo's IG or Twitter saying they can't wait to play with him.

Last year it was obvious who the Pistons where taking, so the Rockets knew who was available. This time around, there's too many moving parts. There's no way to know for sure exactly which of the 3 big men will be available.

If they wanted to go a crazy route and pick someone like Ivey or Sharpe that have no chance of being gone by #3 (for good reason) then they could do something like what they did with Green last year.

For all they know, Banchero could legitimately go #1 or #2.

IMO that's why we see people pushing disinformation about interest in Ivey. No team, including the Rockets, wants other teams to know exactly what they plan on doing in the draft.

At this point Paolo seems like a lock but no matter what I'll be happy as long as they get one of the big 3. I like all 3 for different reasons. I'd be torn if we had a choice. There is something that makes me think Paolo at his size and complete package as a player is the most solid choice, may never win an MVP but most like to not bust. I think a Ivy type (guard) is to easier to find than players that are 6"10" 245lb and can move, spin, pass, score at all 3 levels and is only gonna get better on defense. Worry about the fit later.

    Rockets don't care about interviews/workouts.

Sengun didn't have workout but Rockets still traded 2 firsts to acquire him.

    Slumps happen, not worried.

But Paolo needs to work on his consistency, focus and efficiency.

This video is so perfect, I keep watching the ranking of the teams he's doing this stuff against and they're almost all top 25. I don't think Orlando is going to pass on him once they get beyond the hype of Jabari Smith, but if they slip up how lucky are we?

Banchero is the most Hakeem Olajuwon post move learning ready player I've seen since he retired. I thought Embiid was going to be it, but he doesn't have it. He might have had it briefly in college, but Banchero has the twitchy movement mixed with a discipline that made the dreamshake a reality. I'm not saying he'll get there, but he is the most ready of any player I've seen since Koby doing it. He's even ahead of Alperen in my book because Al-P is a little too undisciplined when it comes to the shake. (this is not an anti-Sengun post and I believe Sengun is more of the Vlade Divac or Arvydas Sabonis type)

This is a hell of a write up.

Very unlikely Chet falls past #2.

Paolo vs. Ivey feels a lot like Carmelo vs. Wade

The electric guard is more intriguing than the volume-scoring forward.

Trade Banchero for Ivey on draft night.

Banchero is not a volume scorer he shot 13 shots a game while Melo shot 17 shots a game.
    Lazy take.

Ivey only shot one less shot a game than Banchero.

One thing interesting was during that slump, didn't AJ Griffin pop off. And vice versa, when Paolo was doing well, AJ wasn't. Could be coincidence or maybe Duke couldn't find a way for both guys to flourish.
