    11 is the weak link
I kept looking at Nancy wondering why she bothered me so....her face was gaunt
Those once rosey cheeks were too tight now.

BTW are we holding spoilers until next week right.

Through epi 7. That was very good. Worth the watch. They kept my attention the entire way with the characters. Mordor. Lol. They will keep you interested even though you don't really know why nothing is really happening and the stakes seem low. Well done.

Went through episode 7 it was decent.

Dig the side plots to give the adults (Winona and Dave Harbour). I liked #11 re-visiting the "lab". Plus the reveal of #1 was a good mid-season pay off.

The cast is so big now after four seasons. There's lot of weaving to get different people screen time.

A side consideration, does anyone think the actress who plays Nancy Wheeler is healthy? She was skinny before but looks even more gaunt now.

The other distraction (abeit small) was the old Netflix troupe: where they get an old actor to play "high schooler'. (at Hawkins High).

Joseph Quinn who plays Eddie Munson (hellfire club) is age 29. But he's still in high school? ( In the show they teased he stayed back a few years, still it shouldn't be a decade though... he looked like his age (late twenties). Other than that; this character was written to be likable, he was fine in the show. (despite being British)

It made me mad, actually mad.

Nobody at the Dairy Ashford Roller Rink back then would have allowed that ****. Poor girl.

    Finished episodes 1 and 2.

They really nailed the 80’s horror movie vibe. Really nailed it. Show is still great.

The Ele subplot is a little forced.

Have you seen movies from the 80’s? Extremely common for guys in their 20s and 30s to play younger men. It’s probably part of the homage that they hired this guy.

Ah didn't know it was an omage.

I get the older actors playing teenagers is quite common in Hollywood that's why it is a troupe. Netflix do this quite a bit on a number of shows.

Someone made this a while a back: https://actualteenadultteen.tumblr.com/

The guy that plays Steve was 29 when they filmed S4.

I remember pg-13 when they pulled a beating heart out of the guy's chest.

    It was pretty cool.

I didn't read anything in the thread. Just dropping in with my feedback.

I caved and resubscribed to Netflix just for this show. The internet is trying really hard to spoil it.

Given that the Duffers are OCD in their details, I am erring on the side of some actors being older as a homage.

The basketball team = the football team in Revenge of the Nerds.

Four episodes in to season 4. Stranger Things will probably never get the adulation of Breaking Bad, Sopranos, GOT, etc but it is seriously amazing show.

They do a great job getting you emotionally invested in the characters and their struggles.

My god. I mean I always liked this show, but this (portion of a) season was stupidly amazing. It's been awhile since I watched the other seasons, but I seriously think this may be my favorite one. The villain is absolutely delicious from the start, and only becomes more so with each episode. And episode 4 was worthy of being a season-ender in its own right.

These days my wife & I are watching so many things, we rarely marathon one thing, it tends to be 1-2 episodes of something then rotate to something else. Not so here. Finished this in 2 days. Just couldn't stop.

I thought it was cool that
    Robert Englund played Victor Creel
    Recognized him instantly.

I watched it first with my 11 year old daughter. That was so much fun because we would bounce observations and ideas on where things were going off of each other.

Then, the next day, I rewatched with my wife and answered all of her questions about what was going on... Mostly by telling her that all her questions would be answered eventually.

Will probably rewatch S4.1 right before S4.2 comes out.

Finished today. Loved the reveal at the end. Was very cool and also creates more questions. Loved the Hopper monologue about his past. Murray steals every scene. The Max running scene was awesome.

One of the reasons I really like the show is it gives me IT vibes. You get a lot of the same young teens going on adventures, dealing with relationships, normal teen problems, etc. but also fighting a deadly evil.

So, so good can’t wait until 7/1.
