In my 50 years here: 1983: Alicia. Lived in Baytown. No family house was flooded. Lost power for a week 2001" Allison. Lived near Bellaire. No family house was flooded. No power outage. 2008: Ike. Lived in Montrose. No family house was flooded. Lost power for a week. 2017: Harvey. Lived in Upper Kirby. family's rental house was flooded 4 feet and was a tear down. But they did competely redo the roads and drainage over there now. Overall, it really hasn't been too bad.
The Rudy's in my area sucks now ... drive thru never gets anything right and it takes forever, but the brisket, as usual, is hit or miss, so there's that. I'm not sure why I go there when there are better options, but there I went.
$5 to anyone that can recommend a quality, consistent Popeye's in the Houston area. I give up on that stupid place.
