That abomination was less than a month after I joined CF, when the Rockets were so bad and boring I couldn't get friends to watch anymore, and since I had a ton of out-of-state friends at UW at the time, I was 100% convinced that Brandon Roy was a franchise guy and was openly rooting for the Rockets to do anything they could to get him.

You're never going to hear me complain about the Rockets only having to "settle" for Banchero if it comes to that, or about how the last two years are embarrassments because the Rockets tanked to optimize their draft position. Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it, and the number of times this season I saw posts and threads saying that it's ok to just win a few games at the end of the year clearly have forgotten about how much it cost Houston the last time around.

If that’s our third option on the way to stealing home I’m all for it

I honestly think Chet lands in our lap at number three

Not high on Chet. He seems to be injury prone.

It’s very simple to label him injury prone

There's a lot of precedents. I might be wrong though as there are Nowitzki's, KGs and KDs. I hope I'm wrong about him if he's picked by the Rockets. Tall and thin players like him need to shoot outside more or develop a dependable mid range. He's more obssesed with drives though. This is a recipe for disaster. Tall and thin guys seem to have more brittle ankles and knees.

Would be incredible to get BPA at #3. I’d be surprised if Jabari is not the guy who is going to fall. He’s a good prospect but once these teams get a better look at him and the others, the others just have more to offer. While you can project a little he has the least likely path to stardom and that’s what you want at pick 1.

If Jabari doesn’t go first, there is no way Presti takes him second. Chet, Paolo or trade down for Ivey is Presti’s likely list. He’s not drafting a guy who isn’t a play creator when every other players he’s drafted top 6 excelled at that. Jeff Green, KD, Russ, Harden and Giddey all could play make and shot make and that’s what you want at the top of the draft. You don’t want an elite shooter with good defense.

Orlando would be doing us all a favor by taking Jabari, who is probably the third or fourth best player in this draft. I would still take him third over Ivey but I understand the thinking against that.

Honestly, I'll sell myself into whoever falls into our lap at 3. They all have upside and if the first two picks are better you can't be upset because we didn't have a chance to get them.

I remain curious if ROX FO is totally sold on one/all/none on the Tier 1 Three.

If not then a trade is likely because some other Lotto team will be.

    When?

Injury prone means he's been injured, multiple times.
