At the time, I didn't like how abrupt AoT was and how they treated certain fan favorites. It was pretty complete, but they later added a side chapter for those fans to make her not done did so dirty. Still one of the most complete stories in anime/manga history that didn't milk its story dry with run up to merchandising and various side channels. Demon Slayer is also pretty complete, and the only knock was how abrupt the ending was compared to all the loss in between. These are all rare exceptions to a line of incomplete or poorly finished series. Speaking of failures, Bleach is coming back from the dead offering the same JJ Abrams ****ery without the slightest hint of exposition or fan service to any of the mysteries that made it great 20 yrs ago. Can't wait for menacing scenes of evil dude in a chair with 20 panels of filler. Nah **** that.
I remember that anime during my college years and what a disappointment that was. I didn't even finish the anime and gave up on it because of the seemingly endlesss fillers.
Konosuba season 3 finally official, also a Megumin spinoff https://animecorner.me/konosuba-season-3-officially-announced-visual-revealed/
Animes been a joke lately. Its almost like netflix where good shows get a second third season after 3-5 years... Not enough good consistent content and too many isekai "reincarnated into another world' crap where most turn into gimmicky harems for desperate folks to buy merchandise, There's really no desire to complete stories anymore and more incentive to serve as a platform to push products. Sad,
I got crunchyroll just for Attack on Titan, and there has not been a new episode for weeks if not months..... Im starting to forget whats happening....
I watched Shield Hero out of boredom. The beginning was okay, but the ending turned into generic fantasy harem like you mentioned. Season 2 hasn't really gone anywhere, although I'm not watching it weekly. SPYxFAMILY is kinda amusing, and it seemed like it blew up overnight. Not sure why as it's not that good, but it's fun and wholesome. I really like The 86. It was a good mecha series. It hits heavy at the start. Haven't caught the second half of the 3-season finale of AOT, but not in any rush as I read the manga when it ended. Demon Slayer has been enjoyable. Great artwork and good characters, but fairly typical shounen.
86 is great. I hope it comes back soon instead of another 2-4 years. Demon slayer still pretty good as well. Same issues with delays. Shield Hero and almost all the other isekais...starts off with an interesting premise. Peters off with delays, harem merchandising and other uncomfortable themes the viewer is supposed to shrug off...underage grooming (shield hero), loli pedo garbage(overlord), inexplicable rape situations (sword ugh online). I even still like some of the series such as re:zero (harem and uncomfortable themes... guilty), but the list is thin and more garbage flowing in than good stories. I haven't seen many good shows nor do I bother trying to finish 7/10 rated shows anymore. The idea is played out but I guess mecha robots to push toys aint cutting it no mo.
At least Re:Zero has an good plot and mechanic, although season 2 wasn't as good as season 1, in my opinion. I can see why my brother hasn't watched it yet because he has isekai fatigue. He's a bigger weeb than me so he noticed the tropes in other animes. Those 2 are the only ones I've watched so it hasn't bothered me as much. I'm excited for the return of Bleach. It was one of my favorite animes and I'm glad to see it return. I don't remember what happened in the final arc so it'll be fresh to me.
I started watching Shield Hero because passable isekais are usually something I can get into pretty easily. It is by far the worst offender of pedo BS I have ever seen. Not one, not 2, but 3 pre-pubescent girls in his harem, one of which was literally a f**king purchased slave (but she magically grew big tiddies overnight, so that totally makes it OK). I shrug off a lot to enjoy anime sometimes, but jesus christ. Dropped and never want to pick it back up.
Read the manga after seeing the trailer a week ago. It’s pretty good- Demon Slayer meets Berserk with a touch of hyper-stylization to the demons.
I’m here for Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer S3, and JJK S2 and Mob Psycho S3 whenever they come out Netflix also needs to hurry up with a S2 of Dorohedoro…S1 was over 2 years ago no idea what this Shield Hero is that people have been talking about
Spy Family is cool, but it’s slow AF When is the plot really gonna get going? I could see myself dropping it if things don’t pick up soon
