If it's Banchero or Chet, I'll trade 3 in a heartbeat. I only want Smith. It's Smith or bust. :)

    I'd rather trade up.

Any combo of Tate, EGo, Wood, Bucks 2023 FRP and even Jaygup to make this move should be acceptable.

And Trev Queen should push both Jaygup and Mathews for minutes at 2-3 next season.

    literally 0 years where 5+7 > 3.

People are overthinking how lucky we are. Paolo Banchero looks to be a Rocket. He will be the best PF in a Rockets uniform since Washed Barkley.

Hells no on the 2023 pick. That will likely be top 10

    He said Bucks.

I wouldn't be quick to trade any of the five rookies from last year. Rockets need to be patient.

Tate, Eric, Wall, Matthews, Wood, and pick #17 should be able to be combined to get the Rockets anywhere from #4 to #13.

    Ahh you’re right.

I still stand by moving up in this draft or move the pick (and perhaps a player or two for a worse contract back) for a pick in 2023 or 2024. The Rockets need to condense their assets which in turn increases the chance a pick (a higher one) ends up being a player that will stick with the team.

    Haha true

I was open to maybe 4 because I am also high on Ivey but that could be overthinking it. Getting any consensus top 4 is excited anyways

    2011:
    3rd: Kanter (Freedom)
    5th: Valanciunas
    7th: Biyomba

    2010:
    3rd: Favors
    5th: Cousins
    7th: Monroe

    2009:
    3rd: Harden
    5th: Rubio
    7th: Curry

    2008:
    3rd: Mayo
    5th: Love
    7th: Gordon

I guess team drafted smarter. 2011 is just bad.

I really want Daniels on this team. If you could trade down and get Daniels and Murray you’re starting five is set. Who among this group is not starting in the nba? KPJ, Green, Daniels, Murray, Sengun. Let the youngsters play all year and get another top pick. Then the rebuild is over and you have a tremendous load of assets for trades to take the next step.

I dont like Murray I's rather get Duren, Eason or Sochan.

Murray is a starter level player but likely wont be a star cuz he is a 22 yr old 6'7 pf.

I can see that. If not Murray I would prefer Eason. I don’t want Duren that high in the draft and we need a pf not a center.

If Smith isn't available, I'd rather pick Jaden. I can see a lot of X factor in Jaden's play. Trade down to 4 + picks or 3&D players.

Not a crazy idea but I'd keep the pick and pick Banchero. I think he's being a bit underrated now
