Who would you like to see at PG for the Rockets next season? Eric Snow or Brent Berry? I would have to go with Eric Snow a more soild PG. Can we get him??
Brent Barry. without a doubt. i will never want snow in my team. ihe can't shoot and he is not that fast. i do not like him
i would take snow. he's been a proven point guard for an upper level team. doesn't make that many mistakes. big body too. barry would be fine, but correct me if i'm wrong he's never averaged more than 5 assists a game.
It would be nice if the Rockets could get Dalembert out of a Eric Snow deal. Philly would love to get Snow and McKie off the books. Dalembert would be a nice fit behind Yao & you could even play him at the PF at times. Anyone think that is wishful thinking?
By trading making the trade with Orlando, the Rockets have traded away Steve's leadership skills, Cat's perimeter defense, and Cato's toughness. Snow provides all of those things much more than Barry. Without question I would go with Snow.
Are you kidding me, you gota go with the Barry Boy! This should be Fisher or Barry... In that case i woulda picked Fisher.
Snow is the better PG and defender. Barry is an excellent shooter....tough choice. I would go with Barry though. We need some outside shooting to replace Cat.
Eric Snow will make $4,875,000 next year and is signed through 2008/09, when he'll be making $7,310,000. He'll be 37 by the end of his contract. I like Brent Barry, but the guy is 33 years old and will turn 34 in December. If he wants a 4-5 year deal, we're talking about having a 38-39 year old PG by the end of his contract. BTW, Derek Fisher turns 30 in August. I think we need someone younger...
Well over the past three years Barry has averaged 5.4 apg. And T-Mac has averaged 5.5 apg the past two years. Getting 10.9 apg from a starting backcourt is pretty decent.

I didn't even realize how old Barry was. I'm still thinking of him as a younger guy in the league from when he was with the Clips. Fisher is the man for this team. Barry would've been great before this trade, getting major minutes off the bench behind JJ, Steve, and Cat...but Fisher will fit right in with Yao and TMac.
Despite the 3.5 years in age difference, I am not sure Fisher will play any longer than Barry. Shooters with height can hang on a long time. I wouldn't want to sign either one for more than 3 years though unless Barry takes less than the MLE or Fisher takes a vet min/around 2 mil exception deal. Alston would seem to be a good fit for us.
