Who says he’s gone. That’s certainly not what Sampson and the program has been told. There’s a reason why they’ve primarily focused on depth in the frontcourt
Another year of development and sasser is well on his way into the league with what he can already do. He’ll be one of the top guards in the nation next year https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cdrq-J7g5gD/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
He's in the G-League draft camp. But man that dude is pretty fat but plays pretty hard. He'll need to drop to a more ideal weight which is probably what hes hearing alot of whiles hes there
He has a lot of offensive talent and ability. I am sure it isn't easy for him to lose weight but it is likely the difference between him having a 5-10 year NBA career and pension and him playing in Greece for a few years and being a stocker at Fiesta.
if he ends up transferring here, I have full confidence in Alan Bishop and the staff to get Lofton at a much better weight. They've done an amazing job with emanuel sharp who dropped 30 pounds in 4 months. Sharp has put in a ton of work to get to where he is now during his time of early enrollment and put that time into being as productive as he could
June 1 (11:59 pm ET): NCAA early entrant withdrawal deadline College underclassmen – and seniors who are eligible to play for more one season – who want to retain their NCAA eligibility will have to withdraw their names from the draft pool by June 1. NBA rules call for a later withdrawal deadline, but the NCAA has its own set of rules that say the deadline is 10 days after the combine. An early entrant could technically wait until after June 1 to withdraw from the draft and could still retain his NBA draft eligibility for a future year. However, he would forfeit his amateur status in that scenario, making him ineligible to return to his NCAA squad. June 13 (5:00 pm ET): NBA early entrant withdrawal deadline This is the NBA’s final deadline for early entrants to withdraw their names from the draft pool and retain their draft eligibility for a future year. By this point, we generally know whether or not a college player decided to keep his name in the draft, but this is an important deadline for international players, who aren’t subject to the same restrictions as college players. We’ll likely hear about several international early entrants withdrawing from the draft during the days leading up to June 13.
Would love to have Sasser back, but if the people who know tell him it's time to declare, I believe he will. Sampson usually tells those guys to go for it, not stick around in college.
Tugler is someone that UH really wanted. He is only a 3 star according to most publications but he will likely end up as a 4 star. He had a number of large programs interested. He is a great fit and joins 4 star point guard Jefferson.
