I get that there are going to be people here that are uncomfortable arming a foreign country in a way that provokes another country.

However:
Regardless of how you feel about Russia (maybe you are a Putin lover for whatever reason, etc.) and regardless of how you feel about Ukraine, it's undeniable IMO that the impact of a country like Ukraine defending itself in such a successful manner against one of the largest militaries in the world will have a remarkable affect on stabilizing the world as so many countries will now have the "Russia/Ukraine" example as a reason NOT to invade your neighbor.

If the goal here is world peace & prosperity (and for some of you it might not be of course) then I just don't see how you look at the situation in Ukraine and think to yourself that we have no interest in helping Ukraine defend itself. Even this war is impacting our world and day of life. Just imagine if it was China and Taiwan how much that would impact the globe? It's in our interest to put an end to the war, and humiliate Putin to trash heap of history.

 

I would have thought Bush's failed military adventures would have been enough to show people invading other countries is a bad idea. But here we are.
