Ted Williams was the worst coach/manager ever. So there's that. But Maldy can be my bullpen coach anyday.
Bags is all over this hitting extravaganza. "oh yeah, you gotta get your balance right and then....BOOOM
Alex Bergman is the most overrated player in astros history. The guy is the epitome of a contract year player. Why the hell is he still batting third? the guy has been consistently bad at batting.
Wow. Anthony Gose… I had to make sure it was the same guy. He was an Astro for a minute, coming to us in the Roy Oswalt deal. We turned around and flipped him for Brett Wallace (aka, The Walrus). Gose was a speedy, well regarded CF prospect. Made the majors in 2012 and bounced around until 2016. Apparently made the change to pitcher and can touch 100 and made it back to the big leagues last year… impressive.
He said earlier in the broadcast during the 1st inning that our bats are going to come alive soon....and whenever it does, that opponent better watch out. It's insanity the wealth of knowledge the greatest slugger in Astros history knows and speaks during the broadcasts.
I'm a bit partial, but he's my favorite Astro in all of Astro history. He's a fun guy to hang out with, wish I could do it again.
hmmm. 3 ER in 7 innings doesn't lower an ERA below 3 (or even below 3.86). But that's on McTaggart, like the post.
