If he had a longer wingspan he would be a strong candidate. Right now he looks like the defensive version of KJ, hyper athletic finisher but can play some great D and hit spot up 3s
I like him depends on who is there at 17, I might try and trade down, he seems like the kind of do everything glue guy that good teams need in rotation.
I think alot of us may be reaching the "burn out" portion of the draft process. Not sure where in the tape the thought that Baldwin Jr is a better offensive player can be found? Watching his college stuff is a big turn off for me. Have to get into the high school film to see the projections come alive, but even then it pales in comparison to Paolos high school tape. Its an interesting take thats for sure.
As a Jayhawk fan I hope Christian comes back for his senior season, I think he could go in the 15-20 range with another year refining his game. That said, he's be a nice pick for a playoff team looking to add wing depth with a late first. Wouldn't be mad if we traded back from 17 and got him or another 3/D wing prospect or center with an early 2nd. Picking up a future first or such in the process.
Good points, I think he’s a nice early 2nd pick or late first for a playoff team looking for a rotation ready wing.
He’s got elite athletic ability and defense, along with a good catch and shoot percentage. He’s got a role in the league for sure. If he had a 7 ft wingspan he would probably be a lottery pick
https://therookiewire.usatoday.com/lists/nba-draft-combine-2022-measurements-wingspans/ The five slowest times in the lane agility test: Trevion Williams: 12.75 seconds Patrick Baldwin Jr.: 12.25 seconds Kofi Cockburn: 12.11 seconds Harrison Ingram: 11.83 seconds Drew Timme: 11.71 seconds
Can anyone share this? https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/33969912/winners-losers-2022-nba-draft-combine
Drew actually had average to above testing numbers for a PF/C. Good length. PBJ, has to be something injury related
Im not sure there has been many combine results worse than PBJ this year. For example his vertical was logged as 23.5 inches. For comparison Paolo Banchero hit 41" at his Duke combine last year.
I think the Org (like the bbs) is focusing in on Eason as far as moving up high enough to secure him. Just a feeling.
