Tate is nowhere near as athletic as Iggy and while a good defender, he's not the stopper Iggy is. It's why Stone is still looking for a wing.

I'd move up to take Eason.

Rockets do not need all the very capable playoff rotation vets on the team:

EGo, Tate, Wood even Nwaba have value to teams on verge of playoffs (7-10 spots)

I like Eason. He's in the 12-15 range in my opinion.

The Rockets gave up two first round picks to get Sengun and now you guys are ready to kick him to the curb for someone who hasn’t played one minute in the NBA, smh……

He can be a rotation player on a contending team, that matters too

    3 man game with Banchero-Green-KPJ?

Who will stay on the corners?

Rockets still need Wood and his 3ball.

May as well go all in on offense.

I think you would have to watch his one on one assignments against some of the best guards and wings in the league again.

He's just massive. No way we can take a fatty at #3.

I hope those teams value them that way, but all I’ve seen since last year is that don’t even value them as a top 20 pick

Imo Sengun isn't a starter on a modern contender due to the weaknesses you describe and how important 3&d are in the modern game, so not drafting Banchero because of Sengun seems a bit silly and like you guys are 100% locked in on Sengun needing to start for years.

Banchero has much higher upside than Sengun and is also easier to build around.

Sengun is soooooooo much better than some of you think he is. :)

Can't wait for them all to come crawling back, as they did with JG last year.

Sengun is not as athletically gifted as Banchero, but the guy is ridiculously smart and savvy for a young player. Combine two big ass dudes with great IQ who love passing and good things happen. I think with the right upgrade from Tate in the starting 5 you could definitely play Banchero + Sengun at the same time and I think it would be AWESOME.

I wouldn't not draft a player because of Sengun, but if Sengun can't be a starter because of his weaknesses...shouldn't someone with the same weaknesses not be a starter? Sure, Banchero has more upside and may improve, but Sengun has a higher floor and may improve. I like Banchero in the same way I like Sengun. The big difference is that there is huge draft price difference for that perceived upside.

Personally, I think both are starter caliber, but will need the right guys around them. If Sengun doesn't work out/fit, it isn't going to be a big deal. I will love Banchero if it works out. I do fear that if it doesn't work out, it is going to be much harder to move on from him.

I do think Banchero will likely make the Rockets better in the short term. I think if Rockets believe in him, they need to consider trading 2023 pick with Top 4 protection.

I personally think Banchero had the higher floor and Sengun the higher ceiling. Paolo much more polished, I don’t see where he’s going to grow more, outside of maybe shooting.

He isn't fat, and he moves well so I am not worried about his weight.

He can possibly play some small ball 5 if they have a shot altering wing next to him.

i'm telling ya'll Banchero at the Small Ball 5 will be absolute nightmare to gameplan against. He is a better playmaker than Draymond and can actually score compared to the aforementioned..

Also everyone is just assuming we ship out Wood but a Banchero-Wood 4/5 front court would be great offense to watch. Paolo played with Mark Williams who shot literally ZERO 3's. Imagine Paolo's iso game when he plays with a 5 that can spread the floor like Wood.

Lastly, I could envision a lot of Wood dunks off a bigman PnR. How many teams could defend that? Especially when in the backcourt you have a plethora of guards that thrive on catch on shoot 3's (KPJ/Green/KMJ/Matthews).

Everyone thinks Wood is odd-man out if we draft Paolo but I think it's more Tate than anyone else. Use Tate+Gordon to trade up in the draft and we rock and roll with this roster next season :

    KPJ/Christopher/Nix
    Green/Matthews/Queen
    KMJ/ (1st round pick)
    Banchero/Garuba
    Wood/Sengun/Bruno

[Wall / random vet / random rookie
