Yeah I don't think they'd be that interested in Wood either but I think some team who has what Warriors might use could be a third team. Without spending a lot of time I wonder if something like this would work: Rockets Out: Wood Gordon 2023 Bucks Pick Rockets in: Kuminga Wiggins Justin Holiday Kings Out: Barnes Holmes Justin Holiday Kings In: Wood Gordon 2023 Bucks Pick Warriors Out: Wiggins Kuminga Warriors in: Gordon Holmes Rockets do it for Kuminga and flip Barnes before the deadline. Warriors do it because Holmes and Gordon are more impactful now than Kuminga and they do not believe they will reup on Wiggins Sactown does it because Wiggins has actually restored some of his value around the league while on the Warriors (with his fake ass all star) and Wood is a dynamic scorer. Kings could be a playoff team with that lineup + what they could get for the 4th pick + Bucks pick Honestly after looking at this trade I doubt Kings do it but I went on trade machine and if I am going to spend time on there I should at least answer your question but maybe there's a third team (Charlotte with PJ for example) that could have a player going ti Warriors, Wood or Gordon to that team and Kuminga coming to us (picks added if needed)
I'm assuming you aren't very high on Banchero. The only reason the rockets do that trade is if the next next guy on their board isn’t Banchero and they see star potential in someone else.
Bamba has ALL the tools to be a great modern 5, including high IQ. What he lacks is consistent EFFORT, especially on defense. Let's stop with trade proposals for Bamba.
Rockets and Hornets trade: Houston in Hayward Washington #13 #15 Charlotte in Wood Gordon #17 Use the picks to draft Williams and Eason KPJ/ Nix/ Queen/ Wall Green/ Christopher/ Mathews Sengun/ Williams/ Garuba Banchero/ Washington/ Martin Hayward/ Eason/ Nwaba Trade Tate for a future 1st to a contender? (ie 2023 or later). Based on the PJ Tucker mentality of needing a junkyard dog to succeed in the post season. It's about getting long talent - not many longer than Mark Williams (like, ever!), and Eason has the look of a prototypical 3nD wing stopper, if he works on his game might become a Bridges one day? Hayward is yuck, but it is about cashing in on Wood and Gordon to get steady vets who won't dominate the ball, but can offer something to the team to help the young guys develop. Washington could play alongside Banchero in the frontcourt from time to time
I like it. Not sure we get a first for Tate if Wood is a 20 pts 10 rebound guy per 36 minutes and he doesn't get us a first round pick. So I'm told. I like where you are going with your proposal though
How bout rockets move wall and a couple picks and get back pascal s Sign ayton Draft best available And have plenty nice assets and a fun team to watch Kpj Green Pascal S Wood Ayton Schroeder Gordan Kmj Banchero Seguin Mathews Tate Christopher #17 Garuba Nix
Yeah I'm not sure either. Even a couple of 2nds for Tate. Or one 2nd rounder!! I should have said that Tate (in that scenario) needs to go in order to free up playing time and also to maximise return!
Would rather have Mo Bamba than Ayton. Ayton is not worth the max he wants. Bamba we might snag for MLE.
If Chet Holmgren is there at 3 and the Kings call Stone and offer him #4 and their unprotected 2023 pick what do you do? If it were Banchero seems like CFans were okay to trade all the way down to 7 for assets. Safe to say that only applies for Paolo? No way you skip the other two guys regardless of package at 3?
I would absolutely love to draft Paolo and watch him on the bench while Wood still starts. I mean really LOVE it. *sarcasm is occasionally difficult to discern on the internet…it’s there though if you look closely*
Still wondering how this is not a trade that leaves every side feeling like winners. Houston Out: Wood, Tate, Mathews and pick 17 Houston in: Mason Plumlee, Kemba Walker, Pick 13 and Dallas' 2023 first round pick New York Out: Kemba Walker, Pick 11 and Dallas' 2023 first round pick New York in: Tate, PJ Washington and pick 15 Charlotte Out: Plumlee, Washington and picks 13 & 15 Charlotte In: Wood, Mathews and picks 11 & 17 Why Houston does it: They end up in range for Eason or Sochan and pick up more ammo for a move up in the 2023 draft. Plumlee is only partially guaranteed but I'd keep both he and Walker as vets to show the youngins the ropes. KPJ - Nix - Walker JG - JC - EG Martin - Eason - Nwaba pick 3 - Thaddeus Young (fa signing) Sengun - Garuba - Plumlee Why NY does it: They bolster their bench with Tate and Washington at the cost of Walker (who they've given up on already) and moving back 4 picks. They keep the main pieces for a Donovan Mitchell offer (Barrett, Quickley, Reddish, Toppin and picks or swaps). Even though they are dropping down they still would be in range of Tyty Washington who is likely a target at 11 already. Washington - Rose - Quickley Barrett - Fournier - Grimes Reddish - Tate Randle - Washington - Toppin Mitchell - Noel -or, if there is Donovan Mitchell trade- Washington - Rose Mitchell - Fournier - Grimes Tate - Grimes Randle - Washington Mitchell - Noel Why Charlotte does it: They are looking for a big or bigs to team up with Lamelo. Wood gives them the perfect fit in a D'Antoni offense for a looksee year. But they also move up to get either Duren or Mark Williams in the draft. The cost of this move is really just PJ Washington (who is likely to be traded soon anyway with his rookie deal expiring and Bridges firmly in at the 4) and moving down from 15 to 17 where they still can get an impact wing that they will need to grow with their core (Kendall Brown). Ball Rozier - Bouknight - Mathews Hayward - Brown - McDaniels Bridges - Jones Wood - Duren
The only way I don’t do this is if Jabari is there at 3 or you have assurances that he will still be there at 4. I’d easily give up Banchero or Chet for this trade.
