This. We got damn lucky getting a top 3 pick. Just pick whoever is leftover you can’t go wrong.

Getting really excited about Paolo but wouldn’t be surprised if he went # 1 and we end up with Jabari.

I’d be very curious if Rockets had # 2 and Chet went # 1 who Stone would choose between Smith and Banchero.

    Garuba?

Could you go Porter - Green - Banchero - Garuba - Sengun?

A three level scorer and playmaker is the furthest thing from 1 dimensional. I think you are thinking of pure spot up shooters who can't dribble more than twice, or dunker who needs every shot created for him by teammates.

Really solid posts for all three. Ultimately, I would've loved to have a shot at Chet but I'm still thrilled that we might end up w Paolo. He's not the complete zero on D that people make him out to be.

Good write up and the worry I see with Jabari is his offense. He almost projects out to be an elite 3-D guy based on his skill set. He doesn't get to the rim, he doesn't really create for others, he isn't good around the rim, and doesn't have a developed offensive game. If you guys are worried about Banchero settling for jumpers too often then take a look at Jabari. I hope to be pleasantly surprised with his game in the future, but I prefer Banchero.

Rashard Lewis with better defense seems like a decent comp for Jabari.

That 14% shooting at the rim is alarming and needs an explanation. I also think he projects better as a perimeter defender than a post defender even with his size. I’d be happy with any of the top 3. I love Jabari but he has concerns as well. Deandre Hunter was a top 5 pick, an absolute sniper in college with a 6’10 frame who was better suited to the perimeter. Sound familiar? With a top pick we should swing for upside. It’s hard to say who has the most upside but I feel Jabari might have the least upside of the three.

I’m kind of here too, though I think Jabari has the highest floor. Outside of injury or other weird outlier stuff there is pretty much no chance he won’t be a productive NBA player.

But similarly, I’ve been for Chet all year though am moving to Banchero over Chet. Aside from falling in love with Paulo’s tape and becoming more encouraged about his D, Hollinger raising some doubts about Chet’s switching ability slightly worried me. I never really picked up on that in the Gonzaga games I watched.

Either way it’s crazy comparing our possible future with any of these 3 vs where we were after getting eliminated by the Lakers in the bubble.

    The one dimension being offense.

This shouldn't have to be this hard man.

Garuba has a ways to go before he can be described as a 2 way player.

He is a 1 way player right now.

    Defense only.

Zero spacing for frontcourt of Garuba, Banchero and Sengun.

Reading through all of these, you can’t help but get excited. This might be a similar situation to last year with Cunningham, Green and Mobley. Just take who’s there and be happy.

Its not hard, so easy that the Suns passed up Luka for Ayton for the exact same, simple, easy, obvious reason.

History is taught so you can learn from past mistakes.

Go learn some more young padawan.

And fyi - Ayton is not a 2 way player and does nothing at elite level for modern 5.

Yeah. We found that out, AFTER he was drafted.

We are going to learn a lot of new things about these three too after they get drafted.

Video of shoot around with Mike Miller - note his shot looks great, however watch to the end and you see a handshake. Miller stands 6’8. Banchero seems an inch taller. I will let you all share your thoughts. Keep in mind Duke Combine listed him 6’10.

    I call BS.

It was well known that Ayton wasn't a great defensive player BEFORE he was drafted.

Was a mediocre shot blocker, slow processer, poor defensive instincts, not switchable.

He was drafted on his freak athleticism + size + length.

And all of his good production was on offense.

Does that mean Eason is Scottie Barnes? We should just take him. Since none of the big three won ROY.
