    And in what continues to be a rather long-running sick joke, another Asheville pitcher was added to the IL. Hunter Peck is the latest arm to hit the Tourists shelf.

    I’m no swing expert but the clips I’ve seen of Whitaker it looks he has a slow bat and a poor swing plane. Not impressed with anything about him so far aside from the fact that he is a big kid whose body looks like he should have some good power.

    Not going to get too far ahead of myself but Justin Dirden looks like an honorary 1st round pick as an UDFA from a draft we didn't have a 1st. Hope to see him in AAA soon if he keeps this up.

    The Astros usually rotate outfielders in the minors to give them all opportunities at all 3 positions. I hope he can at least prove capable at CF (though I think his home is ultimately one of the corners), because versatility never hurts.

    Ross Adolph current has a .505 OBP.

    Just looking at his numbers he has an oppo LD heavy approach and few XBH so he seems to be slappy right now. Nonetheless somebody getting on base half the time in AA is worth note, he's walking (and getting hit) a ton.

    He isn't without power, so hopefully he will find a balance. 5 interesting bats in CC right now.
