No I was told Baldwin had no vertical at combine therefore doesn't belong in NBA.

I was merely saying with that logic, Doncic should be kicked out of the league
because he has no lateral quickness, vertical leaping ability either.

Guy like Jericho Simms busted the vertical leap last year.....but will
he ever get regular minutes? Matters not if it's not used properly.

Larry Bird was not the most athletic guy in the world......but one of the best
players to ever play the game.

Agree to disagree on Dieng defense.

I'm a fiend about defense and he doesn't do it for me.

serious question: have you seen Dieng play? I haven’t. I have read a mini-ream worth and he sounds to me like a great choice to have time to spend on his development. I cannot aver or not. So, if you’ve seen him please give me your impressions.

I've watched 2 full Breakers games. One he dominated, vs Melbourne, and another vs Brisbane, less impressive.

He is a big that plays like a small. Not physical enough on offense or defense.

Great feet and his ability to mirror is excellent but will get knocked of his spot by opposing offensive and defensive players. Lacks that dog mentality. Settles for floaters and jumpers too much for my taste even vs shorter players. Will not challenge bigger players.

Did love his ability to recover when beaten. And he has elite height (6'10) moreso than elite length (7'0). Also bouncier than I realized.

Definitely jack of all trades, not elite scorer, playmaker or defender.

He is better 3ball shooter than expected and has improved in this area as season progressed.

    Project imo.

I want Bruno back on a short deal. Silas underutilized him. Go BPA in the draft.

Right on the money. He needs another season with the Breakers.

Baldwin played on a weak sauce conference right? He had weak teammates but also had weak opponents. If he was getting tripled teamed he should have passed to his teammates.

Banchero doesnt get that type of attention cuz he plays in the toughest conference where all the best players play. And even if he got triple teamed he will be able to pass and make plays.

That's good, but his performances in games should have been better if he had a reliable 3 point shot. I think it's possible for him to be in consideration with the Nets pick.

Trade Wood and 17 to move up for Duren.

I want Duren or Williams. I prefer Duren, but I'm not sure if we can move up to get him.

Duren and Paolo with Green would be amazing.

Yeah, I don't see us playing this pick where it lies.

We're probably moving on up (to that DEE- lux apt in the sky), how high remains to be seen.(perhaps as high as Keegan...probably not, but I can dream)

Or, it gets attached in a package for a player.

Dude, do you know anything about basketball and spacing.

Have you read the story about Gulliver's Travels?

So you think Banchero would have excelled in that same situation?
This isn't football where you have the ball in one hand stiff arming
one guy and then move the ball into the other arm and stiff arm another
guy all the way into the end zone....... Touchdown!!

You actually have to put the ball on the floor. Guys packing the paint.
Not as if Banchero was getting to the rim often either. He took only
26% of his shots near the rim while other bigs like Evan Mobley usually
are in the 70's are better. That doesn't excite me that he is too slow
to get to the rim in college.....how is he going to do it in the NBA?
    Boozer!!!!!!!! Rebound and put backs.

Found a scouting report on Baldwin saying he struggled with injuries
and Covid-19. Kept him to 11 games. So there's that. Rudy Gobert
said he had issues from Covid even 3 months later. Who knows.

So you don't care for Baldwin, I get it.....but I don't consider you someone
knowledgeable about basketball either. Take care.

If Mark Williams is OKC's pick at 12, the Rockets just might have a chance of moving Wood and the 17th for 13. Oubre's expiring contract plus Sochan would be very valuable. Sochan can defend multiple positions with ease.

Banchero at #3 and Sochan at #13/#17 would give Rockets TWO players that could not play together or with Sengun due to being spacing/3ball liabilities.

Rockets need MORE 2 way players that are threat from 3P.

Moving up. But top 5? Already, Givony has had a few interesting takes on the top half of this draft class.

I guess Kendall Brown isn't so bad with #17.

He could maybe develop into a long term starting 3.

If he spends years working on his shooting, he could be a Trevor Ariza type.

do we really want to take a raw, developmental prospect at 17? I’d rather take someone with a sure fire translatable skill that can come in and play or a more nba ready player. Sure if we see a future Giannis we should take a Flier but I’d rather have a Mark Williams or and Eason who already posses nba skills that we badly need and can make an impact right away. We have too many developmental prospects barring some major consolidation.
