I agree. But nothing about his vertical pop is elite. It’s solid for an NBA player. The same as Alp.
    Which is all I’ve said.

Pardon me for interrupting the Banchero Bounce Hour for a second, but I thought I'd post some rabid fans' response to the lottery that I thought was pretty cool to watch. The suspense, the intrigue.... lol :

Ummm. Did you know that Sengun was a 71% FT shooter last year and Banchero shot 73%?

Yeah, Sengun’s problem isn’t his vertical leap. It’s that his athleticism isn’t elite enough to cover for his deficiencies in size/length for the position.

Do you know Sengun played in the NBA last year? He shot 79% from the line in Turkey.

I would agree with that for sure.
It’s also why he needs to develop a good outside shot to be able to play with a shot blocking type center.
The same issues are going to be there for Paolo. Same size

thought the argument simply was who was more athlete sengun v paolo?

Like just simply seeing sengun huffing and puffin strugglin with stamina issues all season it's safe to assume he's isn't as athletic as Paolo who plays in the faster pace NCAA

Stamina and athleticism are two different aspects.
Alp absolutely needs to get in better shape.
Paolo needs to find a way to not cramp up.

    LMAO

So shooting free throws in Europe is harder than in the United States? Is the stripe shorter or something? Funny stuff.

You say nothing about volume, how the shots are being made, the degree of difficulty.... nothing. Again on open catch and shoot Banchero shot 36% and that's a fact. That is above average for college. Volume and usage really do matter.
So now after being twisted into a pretzel we come to the conclusion that college shooting doesn't matter at all! Brilliant.
And then we can save face even more by comparing them both to Steph Curry or Ray Allen. Brilliant.
You might want to redact this though just to be consistent.

I don't understand any of this. PB is a 3/4 player and Sengun is a 5 in a 4's body. PB's athleticism is light years ahead of Sengun's; their athletic profiiles are not remotely comparable. And I love Sengun! I think there are lots of places where Sengun is better, but trying to make the case that they are athletically comparable is beyond absurd. You are confusing "not elite NBA athlete" with "below average NBA vertifcality and twitch."

    LOL

Unlike you, that poster was comparing apples to apples.

Pre-NBA stats prior to draft, Sengun is the more efficient player, offensively and defensively.

    https://www.tankathon.com/players/compare?players=paolo-banchero--alperen-sengun

    Per 36 minutes:

    PTS
    Sengun 24.3 > Banchero 18.8

    REB
    Sengun 11.2 > Banchero 8.5

    AST
    Sengun 3.5 = Banchero 3.5

    BLK
    Sengun 2.0 > Banchero 1.0

    STL
    Sengun 1.7 > Banchero

    TO
    Banchero 2.6 > Sengun 3.1

    FOULS
    Banchero 2.1 > Sengun 4.0

    FG%
    Sengun .632 > Banchero .478

    3P%
    Banchero .338 > Sengun .200

    FT%
    Sengun .794 > Banchero .729

    PROJ NBA3
    Banchero 34% > Sengun 33%

    LMAO

So using Euro stats to prop up the argument is valid? Should I pull out Paolos high school stats?

You "Anybody But BAnchero" boys are really funny!

36% in college on catch and shoot is barely average.
    33/34% overall is below average.
He isn’t a good shooter in any aspect.

The stupidity on display is remarkable. The fact that the dumbest posters on this forum are Banchero stans does not make me feel great about the #3 pick.

What’s dumb is referring to people having a basketball discussion as “stans.” What are you, 12?

Sengun isn’t below average by any standard. Paolo isn’t anywhere close to elite by any standard.
Average to solid athletes is all both of them are. Paolo has a slight edge but no one is confusing him for an elite athlete.
Alp is a 4/5. Paolo is most likely a 4, if he can play the 3 at even an above average level he should be the number 1 overall pick unquestionably.
