Ivey is the most talented player in this draft but I don’t think that’s what the Rockets need considering Likelihood that Wood will be gone and the team’s poor interior defense and toughness. I was a Banchero fan but his defense and effort reminds me of Wood so its concerning. If smith or chet are taken I really like Keegan Murray and maybe the Rockets could explore a trade. Its about fit.

More interested in seeing what we get at 17. We kinda just get who’s left of the bigs at 3.

Yeah Suggs seems like a bust and Anthony isn’t a dominant player. They could very well draft Ivey and explore a trade for Anthony or Suggs. I think OKC takes Chet to pair with Giddey. I think Smith goes to Houston. Not splashy pick but he could be a very good player.

Lol we can hope but I think Orlando needs a star guard to pair with wagner and they will take ivey because suggs and Anthony aint it. Okc will take chet to pair with giddey. Im good with Smith as s 2 way guy to knock down shots from jalen’s kick outs when he’s swarmed.

We need a real coach too that will pull them out if they don't play defense.

I have serious concerns with Banchero / Green and building an elite defensive team there.

I might consider trading #3 for SGA.

If the Rockets like Chet (and he is there at #2), I wonder if OKC would bite on Wood+17 for Favors+12. Use @wood to steer them toward a PF at #2. If we could do that, I'd be pretty happy with a Chet and Tari Eason night.

We might get Jabari or Paolo. I'd prefer Paolo and wouldn't be mad at picking up Ivey regardless of fit. Don't rule out Smith being a Rocket.

I would do this a minute

But OKC would never do this, not even for pick number 1

Tari Eason makes a ton of sense. He would thrive with good creators around him while he plays elite level D and makes his open shots. Question is if he really falls that far. I’m not believing the mocks.

    Markelle Fultz...RJ Hampton

    Franz Wagner.....Terrence Ross
    Okeke..................Jonathan Isaac
Wendell Carter Jr....Mo Bamba (RF) [
Banchero fits in nice here]......Chet at 200 lbs?

    Thunder
    S Gilgeous-Alexander.........Ty Jerome

I’d say try to trade up otherwise trade down, but don’t pick Banchero. Either way it’s another year in full tank mode, would be much much better to tank while playing Jabari or Chet heavy minutes though. Man I’m mad, I know we kinda beat the odds as mean pick for worst record is between 3 and 4, it’s just so hard to be rational while seeing the rockets suck while we wait to root for pingpong balls yet again

I thought the consensus was Banchero and Chet 1-2? I really really would like Jabari in Rockets red.

In all honesty I can see Orlando taking Banchero or Ivey, OKC taking Holgrem and Houston ending up with whoever is left, most likely Jabari.

Banchero or Ivey makes more sense for Orlando than Chet in that they have Bamba and Wendell Carter up front already. Having Banchero gives him a big ball handler. Ivey would make Anthony and/Suggs expendable given the financial commitment they have with Fultz plus their wunderkind wing Franz is ready to tear it up next season.

OKC would gladly take Holmgren to build a core of Giddey/SGA/Chet.

Houston lucks into Jabari to replace Wood.
