Says that he goes to bed early for Steph Curry, but not when playing against the Suns and Chris Paul the next day.

Calls Chris Paul a cone that stands still on defense.

Calls himself - Pat Bev - the best defender in the world. He says he's only 6 feet but when he guards you it feels like Giannis is defending you.

I didn't know Pat Beverly was this delusional. He probably should've gone to bed early against the Suns last year instead of resorting to shoving Chris Paul from behind like a b****.

Bev is coming off winning a title. If anybody knows anything it’s clearly him.

More importantly, he should've won a championship but he didn't...oh well.

Agree, he should've won it in 14-15, but even more egregious is when he didn't win it in 16-17 (the first Westbrook Triple-Double year). But them's the breaks

Bev wouldn't even be in the NBA if he wasn't delusional. If he didn't have this kind of energy around defense there would be no reason to play him.

But, I think he's way too petty to be on these types of shows. He can't even stay on topic and speak objectively without coming off like a hater. Even Draymond can keep his composure when he's speaking on players he doesn't necessarily like.

I've watched the rapport between Smith and Bev about fifty-leven times now and as someone who's not emotionally invested since the Rockets aren't playing...

I want to be entertained and Pbev is entertaining as hell. Sure, his takes lean so much toward hyperbole that at first take they seem absurd, but are they bad takes? At worst they're arguable. Yeah there's some pettiness in there with Bev's history with Paul, but there's a wee bit of truth in there. It may be under layers and layers of hogwash that you have to shovel through, but it's there.

I'm sorry, but hearing Pat say "cone" over and over and Stephen A. Smith's face twitch so much because he's struggling not to laugh is gold.

I remember in Shaq's early days, he said NBA stands for Nothing But Actors and he was right. There's no league that does drama as well as the NBA and it's one of the reasons I love it. :)

Are y'all seriously tuning into a Stephen A. Smith show for objectivity?

He's entertaining that's for sure and completely biased in his takes but that's what makes it fun. I want to hear what some players really think about other players. It's almost like wrestling hahaha.

In games, no doubt. I was just referring to him being less bias in TV appearances.
Pat Bev is the Xpac of the NBA.

Matt Barnes spoke the truth. Pat Bev talking like he is some NBA great. He's just a role player which is why we traded him for Chris Paul.
