Ultimately, I think Banchero goes #1 and Sharpe in Top 3. I imagine(hope) we'd avoid Sharpe but would indeed take Paolo over Jabari or Chet if we have the choice to do so. Not my druthers though.

If we get the 5th pick and the top 4 established guys are gone I’ll take sharpe and tank one more season, no worries whatsoever. Hopefully next draft we have more potential star options.

i think the french C has been the favorite for #1 next year. We could have the skinniest front court ever with him and Chet

Shooting the 3 with good range. The percentages aren't high, but his form is solid.

There is no doubt not playing for Kentucky is a huge concern. I'm not really worried. Stone has selected mature rookies. I believe if he sees more red flags than positives, then he won't select Sharpe.

KPJ was a desperate move, when there was no talent on the team. The 16th pick was traded for C. Wood in order to retain Harden.

So you are saying, you would draft Sharpe?
    at #5?
    Or sooner?
    Give up on Porter?
    Give up on Wood?

I would not touch Sharpe, especially if one of Banchero, Chet, Ivey, or Jabari
are on the board when we pick.

I'd go Keegan Murray or Mathurin before I go with Sharpe. But that's just me.

    To each their own.

I would retain Porter, try to trade Wood now if possible, or by the February deadline. I would take Mathurin at 5 instead of Murray and Sharpe. I trust Stone's judgment more than Morey's. I don't know what he will do at 5, but I believe he will hold Sharpe accountable before making a decision on him. My gut feeling is that he will pass up on Sharpe.

This. If we are 5 and the top 4 are gone, im trading down and/or taking Mathurin. Pairing Green with a quality SF for years to come.

I hope Mathurin will be a solid 6'6 or 6'7. He has more upside than Murray although he's less experience than him.

    I agree.

I'm not sure about Stone wanting oladipo
long term....but if they pick Sharpe that
means they did their homework and investigated
    him completely. Private investigators and
    no Stone unturned.

I would accept him, but I believe we pass on him as well.

Guess that's why Timme is a surefire lottery talent.

Yeah I remember when people said that kid from UT had a thin frame that wouldn't pan out in the NBA. Kevin something. Those thick framed guys like Zion and Oden...now those guys are the ones that really pan out.

You might be selling Keegan Murray short. He has all the tools to succeed in
the Silas offense and some scouts have him in the top 4 rankings.

He did have a 37 PER compared to Chets 31 PER. Just an accumulation
of key stats but says a lot as well. Just saying.

I see him as a Sean Elliot/Rudy Gay type. Will help us as a cutter.

Sure there’s no wrong or right answer since it’s all projections and assessments but KD had different skill set. He didn’t play center. Not sure what your point is. Zion had two great seasons and you can’t fault players for being injured. I just don’t see this guy playing center and banging with guys like valenciunas embiid or even draymond. If he is to be successful then perhaps he could play 3 or 4. Again who knows. We shall see.

He can help us more than Mathurin and certainly more than Sharpe. I think Mathurin has more upside than Murray down the line. I do see some Rudy Gay in Murray.

Mathurin athleticism, quickness and ability to shoot opens up so much for our team.

Can guard 1-3 better than Green, Porter, JC imo, because none of them did a good
job guarding Point Guards all season. Point Guards and Centers had career days
    vs the Rockets all season.

That MJ height and athleticism next to Jalen Green, Porter or Kenyon would
be off the charts above the rim, baseline to baseline, full throttle action.
    ___________________

Keegan Murray I'm told (scouts) probably can't do what he did in college; but I ask
why not? We could force a mismatch of Keegan on to smaller players
each and every game in today's new NBA where many teams will go
3 guard lineups. Murray will feast against them. Defenses will have to
send help, so as long as we supply 3-pt shooting around him....he will be a
    bucket maker kick out monster.

The post up is inefficient, but teams are using it sparingly vs the mismatch.
So I see Sengun getting about 6-7 post ups a game and maybe Keegan
4-5 post ups a game. Much like if Banchero is our pick. The only problem
I have with Banchero on offense is I don't feel he is comfortable living
on the perimeter as Sengun also needs to be near the paint. I believe
Keegan Murray can thrive around the perimeter similar to Jabari
Smith. Keegan would do well crashing the boards and following up
shots by his teammates as he cuts or dives to the rim. We need
bodies moving constantly.....and Keegan provides that at 6'8".

The opposition will always have to find him and put a body on him
as shots go up. That can be a problem for the opposition if they are so focused
on the point of attack (Jalen Green, Sengun, Porter)

Also feel like Mathurin is being underrated in this draft. Saw him in the S16 in SA and the kid does have that "it" factor where he can just turn it on and begin to melt your defense. Kinda like T-Mac used to do. I'm frankly surprised he's not in the Sharpe/Ivey tier considering he had Arizona as 1 seed. It catapulted Smith/Ivey/Chet into the Top 5 but somehow Mathurin is treated as a fringe lottery SG.

Yes, I would be happy with either Mathurin or Ivey. Both offer so much offensively in different ways and I feel both could handle PG duties defensively.

    Ivey as Ja Morant offensively

Mathurin as a Jalen Green type without the facilitator presence.....right now.

Give him some open lanes in the NBA and he may take off like a minor league hitter that didn't dominate the minors but excels with the big league team.

But Sengun can’t defend the paint. That’s why this roster is problematic.
