I would like to see SF bring back a top PF. Would Charlotte trade Emokafor and Theron Smith or Frahm or one of the other guys that they picked up in the ED They have a few good young talented PG's to trade. SF is instant legitimacy for them. Emokafor looks pretty good in front of MoT and allows Cato to rest Yao. Would Charlotte do that or do I over value SF. If no TMac is SF a goner?
Ray Allen would be great. We'd need a PG in the deal, so probably Francis and Mobley for Ray Allen and Luke Ridnour or Antonio Daniels.
Allen would be nice but he's pricey. If TMac is serious about Rox then he can opt out next year and we should have a shot aa good a shot at him as anyone. No?
The problem is SF3's childish behavior causes his stock to drop. We may only get shrubs in return. Now no T-Mac and no SF3, Yao will be gone when contract is up. From then on, we will be the laughing stock of NBA. To prevent that from happening, we need to make this deal works.
I wouldn't mind trying to get any of these guys:

Gilbert Arenas
Ray Allen
Kwame Brown
Ben Gordon
Kirk Hinrich
Tyson Chandler
Vladmir Radmanovic
Rashard Lewis
Johnathan Bender
Al Harrington
Mike Dunleavy
Troy Murphy
Elton Brand
Corey Maggette
Chris Wilcox
We should be able to get more than one of these guys if we trade all the guys we want to ship for McGrady. I don't know what Seattle is looking for in exchange for Allen but if we could get Allen and one of the "lesser" young players, then we are set.
The fact of the matter is, if we don't get T-Mac, we will have to settle for considerably less talent in return. Think about it: we are potentially winning the talent trade off with the Magic because of the advantage we have over other teams, in that he wants to come here, and will only ( reportedly) agree to an extension here. With other teams, at this point, we not only won't have that advantage, but will be dealing from a position of disadvantage, in that other teams will now recognize the fact that we have no choice now but to trade SF etc. T-Mac is much better than we could have expected even up, before we had to trade. now that we do, he's the best option by a mile and a half, and we will probably have to settle ofr losing talent in other trades rather than adding it.
I agree, and with that said, it makes all the more sense why we need to do our best to try to see this Tmac trade through even if it means having the patience of Job. It is a risk, but we ventured into it. The reward is enormous!
If the TMac trade falls through, SF's agents have already gone to the trouble of looking for takers for Steve, since he didn't want to play for the Magic. Of the many options mentioned, I would love to see a Steve for Hinrich, Chandler, Williams deal. In fact, I might even prefer that to the Steve, Cat, Cato for TMac trade. Hinrich, Wilks Mobley, Jackson Williams, Nachbar Chandler, Taylor Yao, Cato Lookss like a damn fine lineup to me, and very young as well. That is a team designed to be championship contenders for 10-12 years (with Nachbar eventually becoming a starter and drafting a new SG at some point since Mobley and Jackson are not spring chickens.) Heck, maybe McGrady would even sign with us next off-season.
I actually agree with this take. Dont get me wrong, I'd be ecstatic if T-Mac is on this roster, however I dont think its worth waiting till August or the start of next season. I feel pretty strongly now that a timetable needs to be put on this trade even if it means losing T-Mac. I just dont feel that T-Mac is the ONLY way to win a championship. Obviously its more of a sure thing going the T-Mac route, but there are other acceptables routes as well. Basically, if the Magic are still waffling come July 1, I would be in serious discussions with the Bulls and Sonics. The Sonics players, Allen, Barry, Radmanovic, etc would likely be more of a sure thing whereas the Bulls possibility of Hinrich, Chandler, JYD would have more upside but be less of a sure thing. I feel that something needs to happen by mid July whether it be T-Mac or one of these other deals. Being strung along till August and still being in limbo is simply not acceptable. You obviously are not getting as marquee a player as T-Mac in any of these deals, but they sure as heck beat risking having this same team into next season. Sorry to say, but if this team comes back as is next season, even making the playoffs will be a question mark.
