Interesting point, raising the question: "Was he EVER the leader of the team?" I know he should have been, we wanted him to be, but...was he?
might be too young to know those HOFs...or, just made some fun of it otherwise that would have been a long long list.
77 followers is all anyone needs to know. what a dumb tweet. it makes sense that he doesn't want to show his face either
I hope Harden wins a ring in Brooklyn but I don't want him as part of this Rockets team, oddly enough. Dream was different. He did whatever it took to win. It's still early but Jalen looks like he has more of that winner makeup than Harden did (does). He idolizes Kobe and Jordan, two guys known for being hounds defensively. He trained with Steph, a guy who has won chips because of his willingness to move off the ball and cause total chaos for the opposing defense. Dream delivered two championships because he was the best player in the world at that time. Jordan won 6 the same way. They were menaces offensively *and* defensively. Harden has never been that and never will be that. I don't want him as a distraction. Sengun and Green have that mentality. Wood doesn't have it. KPJ might, it's too early to tell. Answer is no.
I don't need to rant on twitter. When I can come on CF's and see folks like you joining to rant about the dumbest stuff
Harden idolized kobe too. In fact when paul said that ariza was the glue his connection was Ariza won a ring with kobe and harden would always ask him for break downs for people who just paint this narrative about harden, teh players don't adhere. Its more of homers/casuals/or espn the jump type...oddly enough the players who should hate his playing style voted him mvp over curry twice. "“I think all records are a sense of pride for the work that you put into the game. So yeah, I’m happy to have it. I’m happy to have it because I think it showcases actually how much you practiced and the effort that I put into it. I think what you are seeing in James Harden is the same thing,” Michael Jordan explained. “He’s not doing this off the whim. It’s something that he’s worked at and he’s perfected to the point where the results are starting to show." Michael Jordan https://heatnation.com/rumors/repor...rden-trade-when-miami-heat-were-frontrunners/ " The Black Mamba shared his thoughts on Harden and his style with Power 106. “I think what he is doing is brilliant,” Bryant said. “The true marker of brilliance is when people get tired talking about how brilliant it is and actually try to minimize it.” Because Harden performs at a high level all the time, people just take it for granted now – something Kobe dealt with in his career. “He is doing it so often and it’s become a standard so people are tired talking about him in superlatives. They are trying to minimize it and create a story out of that.” “James is playing at a ridiculously high level and he is helping his team win ball games with all the injuries they had. People want to talk about the style of his play he is using but that is irrelevant at this point.” Kobe Bryant And you know what? this whole pick up your boot straps espn narrative is a shame, in fact tilman the owner took the mike in 2019 and said that he will teach them how to do it...how many owners do that? It forgets the details, it forgets that paxon, kerr, fisher, kenny smith, mario elie, horry all hit the game winners. IT forgets the margins in the playofffs and more so unlike MJ's day the money is crazy and now its standard for a title team to go into tax, its expected during the championship window We cheaped out on our team. we lost ariza, we took ariza's replacemetn in ennis and traded him for nothing, ignored assets like pick to save money...then the owner ***** on you for losign to one of the greatest teams? Even chris paul admitted after he left houston what was missing, cohesion. CAsuals just know how to cite the box score, you can tell they dont' get the game. Thats why PJ is a title holder, thats why one of our best players doesn't blame harden, he says ariza's cohesion and glue and leadership is a big part of our successhttps://spacecityscoop.com/2020/07/01/chris-paul-trevor-ariza-costly-houston-rockets/ Furthermore this whole narrative of mj kobe just 'stepping it up' No MJ demanded help after 7 years of traded and killed the managemetn. Lebron left after dominating to go join other stars bc you can't win that way. You know who also called it out, Kobe saying harden won't win in this stylehttps://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/2019/02/04/kobe-bryant-rockets-james-harden/2775161002/ Now you think thats hardens fault? he played this way bc the roster budget from LEs and then further more much more from tilman were the limitations on how to play in this roster, harden knew it...its funny these peopel say he wants the ball in his ahnds and thats it..why would he go play in brooklyn? why would they want him?https://www.theringer.com/nba/2020/10/16/21519593/daryl-morey-houston-rockets-luxury-tax-resign bc in nba econoimcs, we were cheaping out and making his job harder while his other stars weren't dealing with that. same thing with anthony davis. and you don't think harden knew that? https://fadeawayworld.net/nba-media...snt-want-to-play-like-that-a-system-where-the or that it wasn't strategy given our constraints of stars and just specialist around him? no doubt he isn't blameless and frankly in the end of the day he fell short as he admitted, but to not see the context and understand which dominos are at play in nba economics is just willful ignorance which is a natural state for us homers, but those who want to do better, wnat to understand, learn from our mistakes will see it.
I don't see him being valuable as a role player unless he drastically changes his play style. Who wants a role player who plays poor defense and dominates the ball? I also don't see him being a leader given that he is seen hanging out at clubs and music studios late after games. He would set a bad example.
Not until we are a contender again. He’ll be a nice signing for a team that is already contending and looking to add firepower. He can play on or off the ball. I think reprising his oKC bench role as he ages will be great. But over the next couple years the shine is gonna come off that penny. Humbled and hungry, that’s when we swoop in but seriously I don’t care about Jane Harden. I’m all about the young rockets rebuild.
I think Morey must trade him. There is no way he should get that supermax extension. And it seems very obvious that the actual franchise player (Embiid) doesn't believe in him. I would give up Wall for him lol. But no max extension.
