Just because he's not active on social media doesn't mean he's not working hard for draft.

    True.

Or he could keep showing skeptics like me that he's working on his weaknesses. Jumping rope is a start. Now I'd like to see some 2v2 vs NBA caliber bodies in the half court. Too much to ask? :D

I'd like to see some videos of him eating big plates of pasta with donuts followed by dumbbells, barbells, leg presses, and squats.

I don't see the need for a playmaker to have the ball as a negative. Just a fact .... that's what makes those players effective.

Absolutely he does - what is Sengun without the playmaking ? ..... Hardly an NBA player.

That's what makes the draft process so unique. I saw a lot more from Chet and his potential in his High School tape than in his college games. But college is weird like that. Most of the dominant college players end up being middling NBA players because the style doesn't translate. NBA requires physical and mental advantages that players like Adam Morrison, JJ Redick, Drew Timme, and Chuzang don't have. It's why a "winner" like Drew Timme is a 2nd round selection and an unknown like Shaedon Sharpe is the 4th or 5th ranked prospect not having played a minute of ball. They've been watching these guys for years. Cade wasn't particularly impressive at Oklahoma State and flamed out early. As did Evan Mobley. Ditto Barnes.

I get you prefer Banchero and I can see why. I like the idea of him in the Rockets transition or isolation offense when he has the ball in his hand. I fear him being Jaesean Tate at the 3 point line or a turn style on defense. But every one of the Top 5 prospects has warts. That's the thing. We just have to hope that:

    - Banchero can play above average defense and can improve his 3 pointer
    - Chet shows that aggressive demeanor everyone says he has and develops a game beyond the dunker and trailer
    - Jabari is more than just a jump shooter
    - Ivey can develop as a playmaker and 3 point shooter
    - Sharpe is what everyone says he can be.

Strictly as a rim protector, Kessler is in a league above Williams. And I don't know what you're suggesting with Timme...obviously Chet was his defensive backstop in that tandem, not the other way around.

    Overall:

    Kessler: 7.3 DPBM (1st) / 18.8 block%
    Holmgren: 7.0 DPBM (2nd) / 11.9 block%
    Williams: 4.3 DPBM (27th) / 11.3 block%
    Timme: 1.9 DPBM (299th) / 2.7 block%

    VS top 50 quality teams:

    Kessler: 7.1 DPBM / 17.4 block% in 16 games
    Holmgren: 6.3 DPBM / 11.6 block% in 13 games
    Williams: 3.9 DPBM / 10.1 block% in 18 games
    Timme: 1.9 DPBM / 1.8 block% in 13 games

Not the games I watched of Gonzaga.

I saw Timme in the post defending the rim and Chet on the perimeter.
When Timme sat then Chet slid over to interior.

I doubt Kessler gets 5 blocks a game in the NBA if asked to patrol inside and out.
More than likely Auburn had Kessler stick close to the rim; which is the
only way I would want the Rockets to draft Kessler....playing 2-3 zone where
Kessler can camp out under the rim.

And there is more to playing defense than just blocks.

There is charges or not being moved easily as PJ Tucker does (Tucker doesn't get a lot of blocks)

Wake me up when the lotto balls spin.

    here’s an important question:

Do the rockets have room for two more rookies without making a trade?

I believe the answer is no.

Impressive for just starting to watch basketball.

Rudy Gobert gets Defensive Player of the Year consideration
every season.....but this is two years in a row where he tries to
stay near the rim defensively in the playoffs and teams have made Utah
pay for it. Utah recognizes it and will probably offer Gobert in trade
    proposals in the off season.

I'm going to keep my eye on you.

Edited: I like Timme and see him as vastly underrated. Made a point to
watch 3 Gonzaga games during the season to watch how Timme and
Chet interacted on offense and defense. I admit to not watching Duke
and Banchero but only for a first half during the tournament. His stats
and highlights were underwhelming imo from the hype he got out of
highschool. Roach, Wendell Moore and AJ Griffin helped open things up while
Mark Williams took care of the boards

Patrick is one of my favorites in this draft.

Tough season trying to be the number 1 option with not much
of a number 2 or 3 option to go at teams.

Pretty much faced triple teams all season.

Only shot 7 open shots all year. Thanks for posting info on him.

Like this one. Seen a lot of variety especially after the lottery. 17 is going to be an interesting pick. If there were a way to get a Sochan or Duren at 17 that's a chef's kiss move, even to package and deal 17 with something else.

Here a question for you, do you want to see:
    Nix?
    Queen?
    Anthony Lamb?

Do you mind Eric Gordon getting the "sit at home" John Wall treatment?

Does Nwaba have to get playing time?

Rockets currently have 13 players under contract:
    1) Wall
    2) Porter
    3) Eric Gordon
    4) Jalen Green
    5) Tate
    6) Kenyon
    7) J Christopher
    8) Sengun
    9) C Wood
    10) Garuba
    11) Mathews
    12) Nwaba
    13) Nix

    14) Lamb (dual contract)
    15) Queen (dual contract)

Rockets will get up to 20 in training camp and take it from there if
    no trades occur.
