Anyone else find it strange that Houston's previous PG "Lowry" was traded away from Houston to make way for Harden. Then Harden was traded away and we got Oladipo in return. Both play for Miami along side Tucker and beat up a Harden "led" team.
Basketball is just a job for Harden. He doesn't care if he wins or loses. He has to work for everything now. He has to watch what he eats. He has to limit the night life. He has to be in top shape. It's not going to happen, it's not important to him. He ultimately did the city of Houston a huge favor.
na, just think it's silly to consider them plucky underdogs considering miami's FA history (basically the best after the lakers?). Boston made a great trade, and the bucks obviously hit the lottery with giannis (as much as i dislike him)
I remember always wondering if he was hiding an ailment or concussion with how completely out of it he looked at times, the worst in that Spurs series. But he did it again. He just stops moving. Disappears. One of the greatest scorers in NBA history, and he does this in an elimination game: What an odd career.
Deja vu. Was he concussed again? Too tired from carrying his team all year? Poor Sixers fans learning what we saw year after year. When the going gets tough James plays passive as hell like he would rather be anywhere else.
I remember being absolutely convinced that Harden had the "old man game" and would play at a high level all the way to his late 30s. Now I'm fully convinced his last few years are going to be as ugly as T-Mac's.
In this Lebron era of the NBA they are plucky underdogs. We're used to teams being stacked with all-star players to even have a shot but now it looks like we're going back to an era where you can get pretty far with one amazing player or two really good ones. None of the teams left are the Lebron Superteams or the Warriors at least...well, except the Warriors lol but we see they aren't quite the Warriors of old anymore. Boston still built through the draft and Miami's FA history is great only because of Lebron, pre and post Lebron it's been pretty normal. When Butler went to Miami everyone, most everyone, laughed and thought they would be at best a fringe playoff team, no one thought he was going to move the needle and most thought of him as more of a complimentary star player, not the guy you build around.
