    I’ve seen like 1 Harry Potter movie, but I don’t remember which one it was

    I also haven’t seen Die Hard

    haven’t watched Squid Game yet either…I’ll get around to it eventually…maybe

    I think the lesson here is that there isn't anything that everyone has watched or should watch. 40 million Americans will flat out refuse to watch the Super Bowl (including me). Movies and shows benefit from projecting a must-watch vibe to induce people to consume it just 'to be like everyone else.' But at least half the things listed in this thread would have never even struck me as potential requisite viewing in the first place. And with the fragmentation of the industry, the potential for something to be seen by even a bare majority of people is going way down.

    because it was the number comedy on TV for a long time and a lot of people watched it.

    I never have watched it either not my cup of tea comedy-wise and it's when I stopped watching much on the big 3 networks.

    I never watched 2 and a half men either.

    I think out of your list I watched maybe one X-Men movie and the Lord of the Rings trilogy (it's one of my favorite movies, which probably ain't sayin' much). I just got the 4k extended versions to watch it again. I also watched It's a Wonderful Life... mostly because I was made to and so I could mock Jimmy Stewart's voice and how they talked in the movie.

    Most of the stuff people talk about on streaming today, I never watch. Maybe I should - maybe there's something I'd like, but no urge to when there are other things to do, read, see, etc., I guess. I've been saying I'd start watching Marvel movies since I'm a comic book fan from the past, but haven't even done that.

    The one that people who know me freak out about when they hear is that I've never watched a Star Wars movie. I love Star Trek tv series, but never got into Star Wars.

    Sorry. Something about that seems so much more real than modern celebrities. I should have posted the beginning of Rear Window with Stewart as well. Love the cinematography of that scene.
