Local church restricts public visitations after vandals spray paint ‘pro choice is pro life’ across doors

HOUSTON – A local church has restricted access to the general public after the words “pro choice is pro life” was spray painted across the building’s doors.

When Michale Griffin showed up for services Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, he found the door locked.

Around the corner from the door, a sign reads, “Due to ongoing protests the church will only be unlocked for mass and confessional.”

“I hate to see the vandalism of anything, synagogue or church,” said Peter Goedicke, who attends the church.

In a Facebook post, they shared that, on Sunday night, vandals painted those words across the church doors. The Houston Police Department said it is investigating the incident.

KPRC 2 obtained an exclusive surveillance video -- in it, you can see a dark-colored SUV pull up outside of the church across from the side entrance. The car can be seen sitting for a while and then you can see at least one person exit the car and head toward the door. Minutes later, the person can be seen getting back into the car and driving off.
