Are people really saying Davis Mills is a better QB than Lamar Jackson?

They are saying he is a better passer. Lamar Jackson won't be running like was before. Injuries are starting to creep up. He is not a good pocket passer. That is the reason he hasn't gotten big money from the Ravens.

Well, he wants a mega deal. So, the Texans have NO interest.

I think he has shown enough in the pocket with the weapons he's had. If you compare his weapons to those of Mahommes, Brady, Rogers, etc. there is no comparison. Let's see how Mahommes look moving forward w/o Hill?

For example, look at who the best QB ever, Tom Brady, had with him his last few yrs in New England, compared to how he looked when he went to Tampa Bay. He won a SB his first year in TB.

Jackson has only had TWO notable weapons, count them, TWO since he's been in the league; Brown and Andrew's and now Brown is gone. They've never surrounded him with what he needs to succeed.

I'll take him in a HEART BEAT.

I don't think that's it at all. I think the Ravens are being careful. The last time they gave out a big extension, it bit them in the ass! They extended Flacco after his Super Bowl run and he never lived up to it.

True, Lamar was injured last yr but I think they want to see how he does this yr before they extend him. However, once again he does not have any weapons.

    He’s had a top 5 TE
    Leagues best rushing attack
    And top 5 defense
And the leagues best kicker to win close games
    He’s had plenty of help

And Brady and Mahommes has had all of that and more. I'm not making excuses, it's just fact. You are only as good as your surroundings.

Correlate it to basketball. LeBron only wins when he has a good surrounding cast. Rarely ever does a team win without it.

The Texans are considered by many as the worst team in the league and I'll take their weapons over the Raven's now.

Because of him. The team isn't very good without him. They score on average 8 less points a game without him.

They have built the team around his strengths, of course they will score less without him there.

He is an elite talent, if he could read defenses faster, process faster, open up the outside with more consistent accuracy he would be the best Qb in the league. He just hasn’t developed as a passer. He’s a perfect player for Romans system, but that system is very easy to figure out.

Plus Andrews and Brown were great complimentary weapons for that offense.

LOL really, you think Texans last year had better weapons? smh, last year, the only good weapon was Brandin Cooks, no running game, bad OL, no TEs, defense not so good, an inconsistent kicker.
Tyler Huntley did similar what Lamar Jackson could do.
Mills could have won more games with the Ravens weapons last year.

They were 1-4 without Lamar. The raven's offense scored fewer points with Huntley.

You beat me to it. I can't believe some people actually think Mills is in the same league or better than Jackson. SMH

Mills is probably a better passer right now than Lamar.
That’s more to do with Lamar regression than progression.
He’s also about to get paid big money, you don’t pay a guy like that Watson, Allen, Mahomes money. Not when there’s a decent chance Mills is better in the long run.

The key is that Lamar has not improved at all as a passer, he’s gotten worse. His mechanics, delivery, everything has gotten worse for Lamar since he entered the league. He is a generational athletic but he’s a bottom tier thrower of the ball.
