Assuming we fall to #3 or #4 and we are out of the Chet + Jabari running.

    Would you send #3 (or #4) and #17 to Portland for #6 (or #7) and #11 ?

No, I might trade 5 if Sharpe looks awful in workouts.

Not passing on any of Ivey, Banchero, Smith or Chet.

It's a 2+2 draft so if I can get to the top 2 or 4 there's no way I'm trading down. In the same vein, I'd trade a lot to get up there if we end up 5. After that though, anything is possible.

No. I might do #4 for #6 and #11 though.

I’d do it to grab Duren and take our time getting him into All Star shape.

What are you talking about pal? Trade a top 3 pick and 17th for picks 6 and 11?
Any GM would be fired for suggesting something similar!
I'm not even sure I'd trade the fourth pick for picks 6 and 11!

If a guy you think could be a starter and/or really really filled a team need at #11 I would trade 16 or 17 and wood and next year bucks pick.

I say no. Because there will be some good players at 3 and 4 that I want on this team. And I think Ivey is too good to pass up, and might be a good trade bait at #5.

One thing is for certain, the Rockets will be that much more talented with the incoming draft talent.

But because there are limited slots, the Rockets must maintain the ideal balance of veterans and youth. Of course the team is youth oriented and will have a lot more young guys, but have to keep positive veterans that can assist in the development of the young guys.

With Sharpe entering the draft, the value of 1-5 is a big step above the rest. Certainly bigger than a two for two first round swap.

Either way, Portland should be on speed dial this off-season.

My thinking with this thread was:

I would rather have Sochan @ #7 and Duren or Dyson Daniels @ #11 than

Ivey @ #4 and and someone like Ochai Agbaji @ #17
