DA must still be under the effect of drugs.

Even with a 100% healthy DA, no way in hell the Spurs defeat the Lakers. Maybe the Spurs would have won one game or had stayed close instead of showing up as heartless and soft. The Spurs had their chance to make the Lakers shut up - panspursies should shut up.

Well, he didn't say they would've won... all he said was that there was no way Fox could guard him. [IMG]

He's right, Fox can't guard him. Fox could foul him though, and make him seperate his other shoulder.

Where does Derek Anderson or ANYBODY on the Spurs say they would have beaten the Lakers? And I think Derek Anderson is perfectly sober because Rick Fox couldn't guard him if they had 3 Rick Foxes on Derek Anderson.

So their 2nd-leading scorer is only worth one game, eh?

I'd like to see the Lakers try that -- their 2nd-leading scorer is Shaq. Subtracting Fox and Fisher would've been fair enough though.

Derek Anderson only averaged 11 points in the first round of the playoffs shooting 32%.

He started off the Dallas game the same way, Fisher and Fox stepped it up in the playoffs. If you want to be "fair", then you should only take out Rick Fox since his numbers are around the same as Anderson's have been in the playoffs.

A Laker team without Rick Fox would still destroy the Spurs like they did.

Anthony Peeler probably couldn't guard Derek Anderson either, oh wait, he did.

I think it's great that he thinks his 15.5 points/game in the regular season would have made a difference. It would have also taken away from Antonio Daniels monster games.

Fact is while Anderson was out, Daniels took his place and performed better than Anderson did in the playoffs.

Anderson is SA's best perimeter player. That is not in dispute. That he may have had a sub-par 1st series doesn't take away from that.

Throwing out points per game numbers and adding up those of the guy taking his place tells none of the story. All it says is how much better the team would've been without the injury.

Bryant is LA's best perimeter player -- however, his value to LA is more than that of Anderson to the Spurs. A loss of both Fox and Fisher, however, would be of equal proportion to the Spurs' loss of Anderson. Fox is not LA's best perimeter player. Fisher is not LA's best perimeter player. The Spurs were missing their best perimeter player. This is why Juwan Howard should've won MVP for the SA/LA series. His impact on the outcome was huge.
