    here is the new thread

'kota says the 3 second rule will not allow
you to camp someone in the middle.

But that is ONLY if no one is within 'ARM'S LENGTH'
[how about another way to say the refs can call this whenever they want like palming]

    SO,
Does the ARM's Length thing apply to any opponent or just the player's man?
Cause in order for Mutombo to not just camp in
the lane. . . .NO FRICKING PLAYER FROM THE OTHER TEAM CAN
BE NEAR THE LANE or GO THROUGH IT
    mutombo has hella wing span.

once a play crosses within arms length the
3 seconds starts again? what is the punishment for it?

    Rocket River
who has the official reading of this rule?

    arms length is the rule.

If the defender would have to jump out of the lane no matter what, the offensive player could use the lane to shield the defender, then

    ...no!

as long as you are guarding someone, you may always stand between them and the basket, no matter where you are standing.

    ...thank about it.
