What point is there to improving the Thunder's draft position?

Wouldn't improvement attract a star better than tanking for no reason?

Maybe the Rockets win if kept together. They probably don't. Harden has taken a step back so we sold high on him.

So far the tear down has been pretty on target. 3 years of bad basketball would be a solid rebuild time frame.

In hindsight i think most will consider the rebuild timing wise...

Switching gears who is currently scheduled to be a free agent that year?

it should be a big move if we have the young guys developed a bit more and a ton of cap room. Tilly stating the obvious but the main question is what will happen with Silas? We know he’s staying through his contract unfortunately

Not that bad of a idea to put a timeline on it honestly. Otherwise, we'll just be a treadmill team.

Hope that this coming season they let Green try to be the main man (lead the team/practice carrying the team like a star) win or loose
until the allstar break. Look at the standing, then decide whether to gun for the play-in or tank for a top 5 pick. Nothing to loose I think.

Then have those "big moves" on the 2023-2024 season :D:D:D

If big move means Rockets get a real coach, I'm all for that.

Tillman reminds me of the kind of boss who won’t tolerate losing for very long.

The team is probably thinking KPJ & Green can attract a unhappy star forward or big man

You would want to avoid the next owner being of the same ilk otherwise we learned no lesson.

To me, Andrew Wiggins looks like the best free agent. Most players worth looking at will likely be extended before they reach free agency. The key is to stay flexible. Be ready to trade for that big name player ahead of next summer if they become available, because if you decide to wait, there may not be anyone with mutual interest once that free agency period starts.

It's not up to us who the next owner will be. He might sell it to Elon Musk and the team might be sent to the Space Station. LOL.

Interesting, I followed that Twitter transaction.

Elon did not buy it himself, as rich as he is, he is not that liquid, he gathered a consortium of fianciers incl. Binance.

NBA teams might be less valuable commodities.

Not sure if he is eccentric or just ahead of everyone else on this planet, dude is nuts tho.
